    Job Description    
    To provide day to day human resource administrative support and contribute to the long-term development of the HR function by supporting in the administration of talent, leave, employee relations, HR policies as well as payroll as and when needed.
    Minimum Requirements    

    •  Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or related
    •  Valid Code EB drivers’ license
    •  2 years’ experience in a similar environment

    Retail Account Manager

    Job Description    
    RCL FOODS is seeking a Retail Account Manager to join our Vector Division. The role will be based in Westville and will report into the Customer Executive.

    • The Retail Account Manager will be expected to ensure that all aspects of key retail customer account management are fielded and addressed, Act as a front-line interface to the retail customer with a focus on the head office supply chain and logistics teams, Identify further sales opportunities with the retailer and extend the supply chain service offering through value-adding support and interaction, Provide support to the Customer Executive in the smooth running of the Retail portfolio; serving as the information conduit to the business and, Provide support, analysis and insight regarding network and warehouse optimization; supply chain initiatives; business and solutions development; and general operations.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Industrial engineering degree or B Com Logistics or Supply Chain Degree preferably with a postgraduate qualification.
    • Valid Code EB drivers' license.
    • 3 – 5 years customer account experience in a supply chain environment, preferably with transport and warehouse modelling and operational experience.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Relationship Management:

    RCL FOODS is seeking to employ an experienced Assistant Packaging Innovations Manager to join our Beverages Division. The role will be based in Pretoria and report to the Packaging Capability Manager.

    RCL FOODS entrusts the Assistant Packaging Innovations Manager to:

    • Lead delivery of packaging solutions into active projects across Beverages.
    • Drive collaboration to enable efficient and effective trialling of innovation, development and implementation of fit-for-purpose packaging within the unique requirements of the Beverage Site.
    • Enable collaborative workings to address packaging challenges on existing line items as and when they arise.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Packaging Diploma.
    • Food Technology Diploma, Quality and Food Safety Qualifications, Biochemistry or similar advantageous.
    • Min 8 years experience in FMCG Packaging Development having worked with technical and engineering teams to convert materials into packed products.
    • Specialist Technical Knowledge in:
    • Packaging materials and formats e.g. Liquid cartons, plastic films, corrugates, bottles & closures, shrink-sleeves and similar.
    • Packaging machinery and related plant process operations and flows.
    • Design, barcoding, colour management, plate making & print production.
    • Food labelling regulations.
    • HACCP standards.
    • ISO and BRC standards.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Strong specialist technical packaging direction into project teams for proposal of packaging solutions, construction of project timelines, provision of indicative costings to enable project commercials to be developed and adherence to best business practices and NPD documentation and processes.
    • Stakeholder management around project trials and prioritized task delivery on time and in full.
    • Leverage supplier partnerships to ensure optimal delivery within sometimes difficult time constraints and hold them accountable in the instance of non-deliver and/or non-conformance.

    Packaging Innovation and Development:

    • Challenge the status quo towards continuous improvement.
    • Similarly, work on packaging quality improvements, cost reduction initiatives and solutions as identified.
    • Strong alignment with Process and Equipment Managers, Site Manager and Business Unit Manager to support them in daily affective packaging delivery and troubleshooting.
    • Have an appreciation for the critical role packaging has to play in our environmental.

    Packaging Governance:

    • Adhere to the company Total Quality Management Systems.

    Administrative and Functional Support:-

    • Responsible for brilliant basics in execution of packaging specifications, documentation completion and working through defined business systems to deliver against SIA’s and meet Marketing launch timings with a high quality of packaging.
    • Where necessary, intervene in times of supplier non-delivery to facilitate a solution with the supplier; may it be: availability of raws, non-conforming stock delivery, troubleshooting on the line etc.
    • Delivery of documentation required for project progression and final delivery. Namely: (Sample Requests, buying requisitions, take on forms, scoping checklists, PPS compilation, trial reporting, uploading of documentation onto Sharepoint and Intranet, raising BR’s and similar)
    • Manage project team’s input into, and be responsible for final sign off of artwork on Insite/Webcenter to ensure brand integrity and compliance with label legislation.
    • Assist marketing where possible with On-printer Approvals (OPA’s) for quality and colour accuracy of new packaging artwork.

    Packing QC Technician (Intern)

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Brand Management
    • Participate in the formulation of the Chicken marketing strategy.
    • Formulate the brand SIA targets in consultation with the Head of Marketing and ensure alignment with the national targets.
    • Drive the achievement of the brand SIA operation targets.
    • Operationalise and implement the marketing strategy in the market place and with the category team.
    • Drive the brand building execution programme with the category team.
    • Liase with advertising creatives to devise comprehensive marketing strategies and conduct the briefing and management of the daily agency requirements.
    • Facilitate brand audits and inputs at customer cycle meetings.
    • Coordinate events, promotions, marketing project and advertisement campaigns for the brand(s).

    New Product Development and Marketing Research

    • Lead branded NPD projects with cross-functional teams and external service providers (ingredients suppliers, agencies etc).
    • Conduct relevant analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses in the brand portfolio/strategy by reviewing purchased data or proactively scanning other sources.
    • Lead market analysis through a variety of mediums such as market research, consumer research and product research.

    Information Analysis, Management and Reporting

    • Provide detailed and precise reports to illustrate trends, predictions and relevant strategies.
    • Analyse and interpret a wide range of key data – research reports, financial income statement, media reports etc
    • Provide forecasting input with the category and customer teams into the S&OP forecasts.
    • Provide regular reports on brand results and activities and integrate corporate objectives into their brand management strategies.
    • Analyse information daily to ensure targets are being met.

    Financial Management

    • Formulate and manage the brand budget on a monthly basis.
    • Meet budgetary targets.
    • Manage fixed and operational assets ensuring they are utilised optimally.
    • Formulate and control approved NPD budgets.


    Organisational Efficiency

    • Participate in BU Exco. Meetings to bring to life, research findings and activation updates. This should include any bigger business issues that require resolution.
    • Drive efficient working relationship with the Category Teams, Marketing, Sales, Operations to ensure effective delivery of the Chicken strategy.
    • Participate in the Cycle Planning Process and ensure your brands has a body of activity at necessary levels for each quarter, covering innovation and activation.
    • Implement and simplify appropriate business processes to increase organisational effectiveness and efficiency.


    People Management
    When and if there is a direct report to this role: -

    • Lead and develop staff within the context of the Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act and the Skills Development Act.
    • Monitor staff performance in line with the Talent Management system and provide feedback to ensure high performing teams
    • Manage staff activities, ensuring service levels are met and protocols are adhered to.
