    Specialist: End User Computing Field Support

    Purpose of the job

    • To provide LAN and System support on IT Infrastructure, planning and design, including the implementation and maintenance of the network systems (LANs, LAN internetworking, and connections with the LAN environment). The incumbent will be responsible for the specialist identification and resolution of hardware and software problems and malfunctions on the LAN environment.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • To ensure incidents are effectively handled within SLAs.
    • To provide LAN and desktop support to the client
    • To perform daily administrative tasks and provide feedback to Consultant: LAN Support and clients
    • To Provide applicable training and mentorship to LAN & desktop resources
    • To assist with new projects and execute on contracted Project deliverables
    • To provide technical advisory service to SITA customers.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum: 3-Year National Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
    • Experience: 3 - 5 Years working experience in the respective field. 3 years’ experience in the provision of ICT solutions and services.

    Technical Competencies Description

    • Knowledge of: Various Operating Systems Knowledge of Project Management Principles Knowledge of public sector business Knowledge of ITC Products and services Knowledge of industry best practices, eg ITIL, CoBIT The incumbent will be required to consult and interact with relevant Government Officials, standards generating bodies, accreditation and certification bodies.

    Business Analyst

    Purpose of the job

    • To help the business implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners. (Review, Assessment, and Development of Business Processes. The incumbent will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that organisational needs are accurately captured and implemented through efficient technology and process improvements.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Consults with stakeholders, system users, system owners to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.
    • Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.
    • Deliver services according to project plans and architectural and governance mechanisms to ensure overall compliance and improved service delivery.
    • Create business requirements analysis and design work packages for integrated software components in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government.
    • Model Target Business Solution Specification in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government.
    • Develop Target Business Solution Specification in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government
    • Manage client’s expectations. to ensure that IT solutions meet client needs and Model Business Solution specification in accordance with ICT standards.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum: 3-year Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related IT field / NQF level 6.
    • Experience: 3 – 5 years’ experience in Business Analysis. Including business process management, business process engineering/reengineering, business modelling and business architecture. The experience must include: 
    • Requirements Elicitation: Facilitate stakeholder engagements to extract and document accurate user requirements.
    • Innovation: Good understanding of IT systems and technological trends.
    • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey concepts to stakeholders.
    • Document Coordination: Develop user requirements, business requirement specifications, etc.
    • Testing: Participate in execution of software test activities in accordance with best practice testing methodologies, techniques and tools.

    Technical Competencies Description

    • Knowledge of: Corporate and ICT Governance. Development, Implementation and Integration Methodologies, including Testing, Packaging and Release. IT Quality Management. Knowledge of business operations and systems requirements process. Knowledge of IIBA principles and practices. Business Process Management.     Consultant: Functional Application Support

    Purpose of the job

    • To provide Functional Application Support services related to specific clients and application systems according to service elements as specified in the applicable service level agreements.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • To ensure a Financially stable environment
    • Oversee and Provide Functional Application Support service
    • Implement functional system enhancements / changes in accordance with client request
    • Provide Integrated Management information support solutions to clients and management
    • Pro-actively manage risks that might affect SITA’s performance and delivery to clients.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Required Qualification: 3-Year National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in ICT/Business Management or Equivalent to NQF level 6.
    • Experience: A minimum of 5-6 years’ experience/exposure in ICT services/industry, with at least 3 years’ experience as a Specialist in functional application support working on the ATOM and SLIMS applications.

    Technical Competencies Description

    • Good understanding of the client business. (Business processes, policies and/or business operations). Business Process Management (BPM). Software integration testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing and implementation of acceptance testing procedures. Understanding of enterprise business systems. ICT strategies and development of operational plans. Good ICT industry exposure wrt Application development / support trends (new/unusual/ground-breaking solutions). Software configuration/release management principles. System implementation methodologies. managing ICT Projects. Master data management. Information management. People management.     Admin: Functional Application Support X2

    Purpose of the job

    • The provision of second level support services relating to specific application systems according to service elements as specified in the applicable service level agreements under supervision.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Troubleshoot calls logged on a call logging system on faults reported by clients, using the particular application to ensure the availability of the application.
    • Do functional user acceptance/system testing under supervision against the test plan to ensure functionality of the application
    • Provide advice or training to users about the application systems functionality with support and supervision to ensure optimal functionality of applications.
    • Update relevant user procedure manuals/Online Help and/or equivalent documentation under supervision to ensure accurate information on the application is available to the user
    • Provide Information Support to clients and supervisors.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Required Qualification: 1 - 2 Year National Certificate in Information Technology / NQF level 5 or equivalent to NQF level 5
    • Experience: 2 - 3 years application support experience.
