To accelerate our journey at exponential pace we are looking for the best digital talent, fellow kindred spirits who have the passion for all things digital and are not afraid to break convention to be change catalysts within our business.
We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and experienced professional who has proven performance and digital content and advertising expertise, to fill the Digital Hub Content Lead role. The person in this job will work in the Digital Hub, closely with the local U-Studio team and Digital Creative agencies on day-to-day digital projects ensure delivery of best in class digital content, to meet Digital Hub deadlines as well as Unilever’s Data Driven Marketing needs.
This role will be focused on 3 key areas:
Management of Data Driven Marketing (DDM) assets and optimization process: working with local Digital Hub, U-Studio, and digital creative agency teams to ensure creative best practices are adhered to, resulting in high quality and timely creation and optimisation of assets for DDM campaigns
Bring thought leadership for Creative experiences: work with digital agencies to design and delivery of creative thought leadership for DDM activities that provide experiences to citizens that they won’t forget
Creative insight and learnings: build creative campaign learnings for DDM campaigns to shape future activities and share across Digital Hub Content Lead, marketing, digital agency and U-Studio Editor networks
JOB SUMMARY
Work with the Digital Hub Lead to forecast creative work, strong communication with U-Studio / digital agencies to ensure creative resources are in place as needed to support digital consumer journeys
Day to day management of content creation and optimization projects, through use of on-site U-Studio and other digital agencies
Step up, support development and delivery of better Digital & Social Advertising to ensure Unilever digital creative is innovative and best in class at delivering business outcomes
Be the leadership bridge between Digital Hub experts, U-Studio resources and other digital creative agencies allocated to DDM projects

People Management
A leader who can work alongside multiple digital agency teams, to build and deliver best in class creative elements associated with DDM campaigns, on time. Understands the importance and can influence all DDM creative elements, co-ordinate delivery of creative components for an entire consumer journey working through others.
Creative quality/output
Finally, and most importantly, a hands-on leader who can take an insight/brief direct digital agency to create and optimize content/assets that deliver the brand vision to the highest quality. A thought leader who can drive digital creative innovation from idea to execution through U-Studio and digital creative agencies to help Unilever’s brand build unforgettable experiences with our citizens.
REPORTING LINES
The Content Lead will have a matrix reporting structure:
Digital Hub Lead: direct local line manager, responsible for driving best practice of DDM creative within the Digital Hub.
Local U-Studio Editor: in-direct local Line Manager. Responsible for growth and ensuring best-in-class is delivered for the local U-Studio; providing leadership and mentorship for the Content Lead
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Marketing Degree or relevant Tertiary Qualification
Minimum 3 years of experience managing needs content, and social and digital advertising projects
Data-driven marketing experience
A background in publishing and / or management and co-ordination of content creation
Ideally worked in an agency environment servicing brands and marketing clients
Proven thought leadership in content innovation that has driven business growth

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
Support Procurement Manager with delivering key targets related to Cost and Cash, Quality and Service, Innovation and Sustainable Living.
JOB SUMMARY:
Support PM in developing and executing supplier strategy for portfolio
Assess supply market, and adapt strategy according to market conditions
Assess supplier capability and suitability through regular site visits and reporting back on findings
Develop and improve supplier cost models to drive increase in transparency of cost drivers
Unlock cash and cost value through setting up and execution of benchmarking, RFQs, E-tenders. Support delivery of savings and creditor extension programme for portfolio
Support and occasionally lead supplier negotiations
Track global feedstock and forex movements and translate into price forecasts required regularly by business
Provide market intelligence to PM and business leaders to assist in strategic decision making
Support innovation by identifying capable suppliers to deliver required specifications of materials
Connect with RD business partners to understand future supplier technology and capability roadmap that supports value delivery and USLP. Assist in delivering roadmap
Allocate new materials to suppliers to deliver best cost/ service/ quality in line with supply strategy
Lead on-boarding of new suppliers by driving full quality and responsible sourcing compliance
Ensure 100% contractual compliance through signing of Unilever Purchasing Agreements and Commercial Term Contracts as well as Special Term Contracts
Agree quarterly and annual material prices with suppliers. Implement into new CTC. Submit prices to proc ops colleagues for contract upload
Regularly connect with procurement operations and category colleagues to understand GM, service, quality, capacity, WC hot spots. Engage suppliers and adapt strategy to drive improvement in hot-spot areas
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Completed Degree or Diploma
Experience in either Procurement/ Supply Chain/ R&D/ Marketing/ Sales/ HR will be an advantage
Experience on large-scale change management projects

Procurement Insights and Analysis: Understand category and functional strategies and procurement requirements; Industry, economic, competition and supplier insights
Procurement Strategy Formulation: Developing material and services supply strategy; Develop supplier strategies; Integrating procurement strategy into the business
Procurement Strategy Execution and Performance Management: Competitive bidding and tendering; Supplier negotiation; Supplier qualification and on-boarding; Contractual supplier engagement; Supplier performance measurement and management
Partnering with Suppliers to Win: Attract, select, manage and motivate partners; Identifying value creating opportunities
Driving Sustainability through Procurement: Materials and/or services Supply Chain analysis and risk assessment; Evidence-based measurement for sustainability
This role is based either in Johannesburg or Durban

The purpose of the role is to develop, agree, and execute the strategic plan to ensure Digital Transformation is landed in the Africa Supply Chain.
