    EHOD HRBP

    Role Purpose

    The EHOD: HR Business Partner role based within Human Resources.

    • The role of the EHOD: HR Business Partner Group Technology, Fintech, IB and Mpesa JV is to provide end-to-end HR support to the business unit, provide strategic and operational guidance and support to management teams, lead all business unit initiatives to drive positive employee engagement, support business unit in building sustaining high performance culture and challenge and drive performance across the business areas through exemplary people & organisational practices.  Facilitate delivery of the Vodacom functional people plans in support of Vodacom’s strategic objectives. Key focus on organisation effectiveness, talent management & building capabilities.
       

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Input to functional people plan that is fully aligned to Vodacom/functional strategy
    • Act  as strategic sparring partner, engaging on  the effectiveness of the BU , processes, systems, data and people 
    • Challenge & support leaders in business areas to align behaviours/attitude to The VF Way and new ways of working 
    • Implement all ‘Performance Driven Reward’ plans in business areas
    • Deliver a pipeline of diverse future leaders and accelerate high potential development in functional business areas
    • Identify and deliver leadership team effectiveness solutions 
    • Work with L&D to build critical functional capabilities to enable the business areas to deliver against their plans 
    • Focus the business areas on the Vodacom Strategy and help people to recognise their part in drive performance

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have an in depth knowledge and understanding    Broad and comprehensive understanding of Human Resources concepts and principles Competence in all areas of the Human Resources value chain and broad discipline The requirement for a broader knowledge and competence in supporting allocated business area across all aspects of HR The role needs to balance the needs of business lines with that of HR and ensure alignment with parent company 


    Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

    • The ideal candidate for this role will have: - A relevant 3yr degree/diploma (e.g Human Resources, Personnel Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Management, etc,) - essential - A post-graduate qualification will be advantageous 
    • At least 8 to 10 years' management experience as a Human Resources Business Partner, operating executive level, with full competence in all areas of the HR value chain preferably gained in a private sector environment - essential  as well as proven experience in the management of a Human Resources section/division

    Talent and Capability Lead South Africa

    Role Purpose

    The Talent and Capability Lead South Africa role based within Human Resources.

    To design and deliver a robust talent plan for South Africa, identifying opportunities for innovation, driving transformation (e.g. digital acceleration).
    To drive the talent, succession planning and performance dialogue performance of Vodacom South Africa , working with the HR Business Partners and VSA HRD, and Vodacom Group Talent to delivery SA talent and PD strategies. To contribute and drive  to Learning & Development strategy development and deliver operational support. 
     

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Accountable for the development and execution of Vodacom South Africa’s Talent management strategy, policies & frameworks .
    • Lead key strategic talent and oversee capability (learning) initiatives (e.g. digital transformation, integrated Talent Management approach)
    • Gathering and analysing multiple internal and external people and organisational data sources in order to identify and deliver on future organisational talent and capability needs
    • Identify and develop innovative opportunities to collaborate, co-create and pilot talent delivery mechanisms, through close interface with CoEs and Markets (e.g. skill/ talent mobility policies and mechanisms)
    • Develop, implement and manage the execution of the South Africa’s Performance Management and Succession planning process. 
    • Through the annual talent cycle, work with the HR Leadership and business to agree the strategic talent needs for South Africa and ensure actions are developed and executed
    • Work with the Vodacom Group Talent team  to build local  capability in unbiased assessment of Talent.

    • Drive a one stop solution for the customer - Deliver on the full Product and Service proposition and identify opportunities to support selling and service activities from other Zones/Mall proposition areas

    Vodacom Shop and TechZone and Repairs :-

    • Seamlessly integrate sales and aftersales and create an equal happiness opportunity!
    • Responsible for offering customers exceptional support to quickly get Customer’s back on the air through troubleshooting of software and or hardware issues to determine if a device software; repair or replacement is needed. Perform device diagnostics, troubleshooting and loading of manufacturer software

    • Keep abreast of all new development and innovation in the mobile solutions marketplace and adapt quickly to ever changing products, services, ecosystems, technologies.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • A 3 year Degree or National Diploma in a IT, Digital Technologies, Commercial Business, Communications Management and/or relevant equivalent certification/s completed or actively in progress – preferred 
    • Other Relevant short courses courses/certificates - essential
    • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within Retail in the ICT /Commercial/Banking /Hospitality or relevant environment - essential 
    • Minimum of 1 year in a within retail, face to face customer and/or contact centre exposure – essential
    • Exposure to digitally lead retail solutions and/or other digital customer interfacing platforms, programming, coding or alternate will be highly beneficial. 

     OR

    • Matric  or SAQA accredited equivalent – essential 
    • Other Relevant short courses courses/certificates - essential
    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within Retail in the ICT /Commercial/Banking /Hospitality or relevant environment - essential 
    • Minimum of 2 year in a within retail, face to face customer and/or contact centre exposure – essential

    Solutions Architect

    Role Purpose

    The Solutions Architect role based within Vodacom Business.

    To interact with customers to gather technical requirements, architect customer networks and compile solution proposal documentation in the converged communication space as part of the Sales process.
     

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Perform role of interface between customer, commercial and technical entities by translating between business requirements and technical specifications.

    Specialist: Solution Architect

    Role Purpose:

    The Specialist: Solution Architect position is based within the Technology Business Unit.

    The Solution Architect is responsible for interpreting business requirements and producing system designs in Vodacom’s Contact Centre environment. This role will also assist with implementing projects and configuration changes as well as providing consulting to team members and other business users.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Accountable for functioning, well performing system designs
    • Providing timeous, accurate information to support Business Analysts
    • Compile System Design and Acceptance documents based on business requirements (BRS document), current system environment and architectural input
    • Perform proof of concept/feasibility verifications for features required by Business and Business Analysts; provide guidance on system capabilities
    • Assist with the implementation of new projects including liaising with other technical departments, installing software, creating configuration, troubleshooting and performing acceptance testing
    • Ad hoc development of tools or small interface components
    • Impact Assessments – Identify all impacted systems in order for the Solution to be delivered, eespecially if system integration will be required between different systems.
    • Identify Enablers/Capabilities that need to be developed in order for future Solutions/Features to be delivered.
    • Identify Technical Debt and prioritize with the Development Team in order for us to have Continuous improvement and bring stability to the environment.  

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)

    Senior Internal Audit Specialist: IT Security

    Role purpose:

    • The Senior Specialist: Internal Audit, Technology is responsible for executing Technology and Integrated audits and ad hoc management requests across the Vodacom Group footprint in support of strengthening the control environment. The audit work must be performed in line with the Vodacom Internal Audit methodology and professional standards. Following audit completion, the Senior Specialist will track the agreed management actions to closure. Developing and managing relationships with various client departments across the Vodacom Group footprint will be essential to the success of the role and enable the role-holder to provide input into the audit plan. Finally, the Senior Specialist will need to provide guidance and best practices to the Internal Audit team and client departments on relevant current and emerging Technology topics including cyber-security and threat management.
