Key Purpose
The primary function of a Sales Hunter is to excel in selling products and solutions, drive revenue by acquiring new clients, secure funding for specific projects, and identify new markets for SAIPA’s offerings. This role involves actively searching for new business opportunities and managing a healthy sales pipeline to ensure continuous revenue generation and member growth.
Prospecting:
- Identify and engage potential clients through various methods including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking.
Client demonstrations:
- Conduct effective presentations of SAIPA’s products or services to prospective clients.
Sales negotiations:
- Employ strong negotiation skills to close deals and achieve favorable terms.
Pipeline and database management:
- Maintain a dynamic list of leads and manage the sales pipeline effectively to ensure consistent sales opportunities.
- Developing and maintaining a credible, high-quality database of potential clients/leads.
Market analysis:
- Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential new markets and opportunities.

Key Purpose
To assist and support the Sales and Marketing department with its projects, programmes, events, and various other functions. The Sales and Marketing Administrator will assist in planning and executing department activities, managing corporate branding and marketing collateral, assisting in marketing campaigns and tracking online activities.
Business Operations:
- Administer the department’s activities, functions, and interventions, including all SCM processes for the department.
- Liaise with all other departments to support the Sales and Marketing Department.
- Ensure that all projects and events documentation and records are correctly filed and saved on the Institute’s IT infrastructure.
- Enhance the administration system and contribute to process development for the Sales and Marketing Department.
- Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and manuals for the department.
- Assist with managing and monitoring all social platforms and pages (including campaigns).

- Liaise with sponsors, advertisers, and other department stakeholders.
- Manage the Marketing email inbox.
- Prepare monthly reports.
Events:
- Ensure that all documentation is correctly filed and saved on the Institute’s IT infrastructure.
- Assist in managing the cost of each event with the service provider to stay within budget.
- Ensure that the operations plan (and task list) is prepared and implemented.
- Ensure that all events are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Draft guidelines for various stakeholders, including PCOs, to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Create and maintain a library of all SAIPA and related events, including photography, videography, and sound clips; manage and maintain the storage of original audio/video files.
- Assist in managing events from inception to post-event deliverables.
- Liaise with speakers and other stakeholders.
- Assist with coordinating teams and logistics during events.
- Liaise with stakeholders and districts in arranging and attending career exhibitions.
- Assist with NAMO and other exhibitions as required.
Branding and promotional material:
- Act as custodian of branding and promotional stock.
- Update and review stock items and requirements.
- Manage and distribute all brand, stock, and promotional items to each district and for events.
- Ensure that all SAIPA events have a stand with professional graphics, promotional items, AV, and collateral for exhibition stands, as well as necessary staff support.
- Assist in managing the production and distribution of SAIPA brand material and marketing collateral
CSR:
- Coordinate and manage CSR activities and communication.

Key Purpose
Responsible for analysing financial data, monitoring expenditure, conducting cost analysis, and providing insights to assist management in decision-making processes. Will also work closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control measures are implemented.
Asset location and identification management
- Is responsible for maintaining on an ongoing basis the physical tagging of each SAIPA asset.
- Ensuring that such assets are in existence at all times.
- Ensuring that all assets are correctly recorded in the Fixed Assets register.
- Conducting physical asset verification exercises from time to time.
- Ensuring that the External Auditors are 100% satisfied with asset existence and location at SAIPA.
Maintaining the Fixed Assets register:
- Ensuring the Fixed Asset register is kept up to date at all times and is a true record of the Fixed Assets belonging to SAIPA.
- Ensuring that asset values recorded clearly reflect both the cost of the asset and the current value if such values differ.
- Ensuring that the Fixed Asset register is at all times in agreement with the General Ledger of SAIPA.
- Ensuring that the Fixed Assets are properly and logically categorized in the Fixed Assets Register in terms of IFRS.
- Ensuring that the Fixed Assets register and assets within the register are all recorded in line with IFRS.
Cost Analysis:
- Conducting ad-hoc costing analyses as and when required.
- Investigating and reporting on cost variances each month together with Department Heads.
Assisting the CMAM as and when required Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assisting the CMAM in preparing the annual income and expenditure budgets on a monthly basis per department for submission to the Executive and Board for approval.
- Assisting the CMAM in preparing a three-year budget forecast each year for submission to the Executive and Board for approval.

Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Revenue and Cost Reporting:
- Assisting the CMAM with all the required monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and cost reporting.

- Checking cost codes for correctness.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Technical Support and Advisory:
- Respond to member technical accounting queries including IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, UIF, Workers’ Compensation, and other related standards and Provide detailed support.
- Develop working papers and templates to assist members with questions related to legislation such as the Companies Act, POPIA, and Basic Labor Relations Acts.
- Guide and respond to questions relating to business rescue processes and business advisory services including valuations and due diligence.
Educational and Event Management:
- Develop, prepare and present technical presentations to members on accounting standards like IFRS, GRAP, and more.
- Plan and execute the accounting indaba, including coordinating logistics for high-quality webinars.
- Identify topics, plan, and oversee the execution of webinars, ensuring they meet members’ needs and contribute to professional development.
- Host webinars, identify and collaborate with speakers, and assist in the review and sign-off of webinar content.
Strategic Initiatives and Compliance:
- Identify and apply for funding opportunities with SETA and FASSET; manage and oversee these programs from inception to completion, ensuring they are fully funded and compliant with grant requirements.
- Represent SAIPA in committees such as CIPC and PAFA technical committees.
- Engage in advocacy, preparing commentary for professional developments affecting the industry, influencing legislation, and regulatory standards.
Content Development and Publications:
- Produce and source technical news updates, contributing to SAIPA’s Professional Accountant Magazine and technical newsletters.
- Manage the SAIPA My Law Updates to members
- Monitor, comment on, and make submissions concerning exposure drafts and changes in accounting and assurance legislation and standards.
Strategic Partnerships and Community Engagement:
- Establish and maintain targeted strategic partnerships with organizations such as RCB Forum, IFAC, and FASSET, CIPC
- Participate in a variety of committees and forums, aiming to influence developments shaping the profession and enhancing SAIPA’s visibility and impact.

Key Purpose
Responsible for providing expert guidance on assurance services, focusing on Auditing Standards, Independent Reviews, and the Companies Act. To assist SAIPA in obtaining accreditation from the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA)and maintain the accreditation subsequently.
Assurance Advisory and Support:
- Provide advisory services to members on audit and assurance matters including compliance with the Companies Act, audit standards, and independent review standards.
- Design templates and working papers related to audit processes and assurance services to ensure best practices and compliance with regulatory standards to support members.
- Respond to members queries on any assurance matters, including auditing, independent reviews and agreed upon procedures.
- Respond to members on any practice management.
- Guide members and respond to any queries on the ISQM 1, or International Standard on Quality Management 1, titled “Quality Management for Firms that Perform Audits or Reviews of Financial Statements, or Other Assurance or Related Services Engagements,”
IRBA Accreditation Process:
- Lead the initiative to assist SAIPA in obtaining IRBA accreditation, including preparing documentation, liaising with IRBA, and ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Respond to any IRBA accreditation questions and follow up information required
- Guide and support SAIPA members in preparing for the IRBA accreditation, providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to meet accreditation standards.
- Prepare material to support and develop members in any of the IRBA standards
Educational and Event Management:
- Prepare and present webinars focused on assurance standards, including topics on independent reviews, audits, and agreed-upon procedures.
- Review educational materials and presentations are up to date with the latest assurance practices and standards.
- Identify relevant topics and standards on which members need to be developed in
Regulatory Liaison and Compliance:
- Maintain ongoing communication and liaison with IRBA to facilitate accreditation processes and ensure compliance with assurance standards.
- Monitor changes in assurance regulations and standards,
- Provide regular updates to SAIPA and its members on regulatory changes.
Content Development and Publications:
- Develop content for SAIPA’s educational programs, focusing on assurance topics to enhance members’ knowledge and professional development.
- Contribute to assurance-related articles and updates for SAIPA publications, such as the Professional Accountant Magazine.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualification
- Honors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Articles Completed in an Audit Firm
- Preferably Registered Auditor
Experience
- 3 years minimum of extensive/indepth understanding of auditing, assurance standards, and the Companies Act.
- 3 years Experience with IRBA processes and standards is highly advantageous.
