    Geology Observer

    Job description
    Qualifications  

    • Grade 12 with Maths and Science
    •   B.Sc. /BTech Geology will be advantageous

    Experience

    • Minimum five (5) years’ working experience in the Bushveld Complex:
    •   Familiar with SableData Warehouse
    •   Proficient in Microsoft suite (excel, word, outlook)
    •   Proficient in Microstation/Autocad/MineRP/Sycromine draughting software
    •   Valid driver’s license
    •   Medical Certificate of Fitness

    Key performance areas

    • Plotting of Geological structures on Mine plans, electronic and paper plans
    •   Report any Geological anomalies to the Geologist and Senior Geologist
    •   Collection and capture of data for monthly evaluation purposes
    •   Generate geological sections, geological reports and evaluation reports
    •   Correctly apply the Trigger Action Response Plan (TARP)
    •   Assist with sampling and density measurements

    Safety Officer Mining

    Job description
    Qualifications 

    • Grade 12 or equivalent at NQF level 4
    •  Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines
    •  Certificate in Mine health and Safety legislation
    •  ISO45001 Auditors certificate is advantageous
    •  Diploma in Safety Management is advantageous
    •  Chamber of Mines Safety Officer Certificates 1 & 2

    Experience 

    • At least Two (2) years’ experience in the regular statutory reports compilation, reporting and monitoring
    •  At least Five (5) years’ experience in an underground mining environment

    Key performance areas  

    • Conduct workplace and machinery legal inspections as required by the Act and compile applicable reports / action plans.
    •  Design and implement overall workplace risk management and follow-up systems
    •  Conduct and manage risk assessments that indicate a need to establish and maintain a system of occupational health and safety as required by legislation and beyond
    •  Develop, implement, and improve the occupational health and safety plans, programmes and procedures in the workplace
    •  Ensure that employees have been properly trained or possess the necessary training or qualifications for the safe execution of their work and continuous on-the-job coaching/training is done as required
    •  Ensure compliance with the relevant health and safety legislation as per the Regulation 2.17.1 appointment
    •  Conduct investigations of machinery, equipment or health and safety related Incidents / Accidents
    •  Manage Safety Representatives for the working places and ensure that training is provided

    Additional requirements 

    • Proficient in MS Package
    •  Medical Certificate of Fitness

    HR Coordinator

    Job description
    Qualifications

    You will be required to have the following:

    •  A National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management
    •  A relevant Postgraduate Degree will be advantageous

    Experience Minimum 

    • four (4) years HR experience in a mining environment
    •  At least two (2) experience in a similar role within a mining environment
    •  Experience of working within Unionised environments within the Mining Industry preferable

    Key performance areas

    • As our HR Coordinator some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
    •  Develop and monitor the implementation of the HR Operations policies and plans, provide input into the development and review of the HR Operations strategy
    •  Provide effective professional advice and guidance to line managers and employees regarding the HR Operations legislative requirements, policies, practices and procedures
    •  Establish functional standards for accurate HR record-keeping and administration
    •  Monitor all Human Resources factors affecting production in order to enable business to produce the required outputs
    •  Constantly review the Standard Operating Procedures for relevant areas of the Human Resources function
    •  Identify opportunities to improve HR Operations systems and processes
    •  Ensure effective manning of jobs and teams according to the business plan
    •  Maintaining up-to-date information on people movement including promotions, transfers and terminations
    •  Providing effective HR administration with accurate and timely information in line with established standards and processes
    •  Review HR Operations deliverables and provide inputs into the development of the HR reports
    •  Develop and monitor the implementation of the HR Operations policies and plans, provide input into the development and review of the HR Operations strategy
