    Artisan Electrician - Musina

    Job description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairs
    • Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
    • Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
    • Effective stakeholder engagement
    • Engineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standards, specifications and schedules
    • Electrical equipment installations are constructed and maintained according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
    • Effective self-management and alignment with M&RC values and leadership initiatives

    Minimum requirements

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
    • Section 26 Electrical Trade Certificate / MIETTB (Mining Industry Engineering Trades Training Board) Trade Certificate through a registered body.
    • Contract of Apprenticeship signed off by employer and Department of Manpower
    • Flame Proof and Gas Testing Certificates (Advantageous)
    • Valid First Aid Certificate (Essential, if not available, must obtain at on-boarding)
    • Valid Code EB driver's license
    • Good English written and verbal communication skills
    • Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
    • 5 year or more mining industry experience (underground/Construction)
    • 5 years of trade experience as an Electrician
    • Ability to read and interpret drawings
    • Ability to do fault-finding from drawings

    Site Engineer - Musina

    Job description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Lead, motivate, coach and develop subordinates to achieve production and safety targets
    • Effective and efficient management of all TMM and construction work at the designated area within project engineering key performance areas (which includes, but not limited to, project scope, scheduling, budget, planning and procurement)
    • Quality control of products and equipment supplied to sites
    • Effective setting of standards / procedures, implementation and monitoring thereof
    • Effective management of various installations simultaneously
    • Effective self-management in alignment with M&RC’s values

    Minimum requirements

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • BSc, BTech or National Higher Diploma Engineering from a recognised institution
    • DMR Government Certificate of Competency to practice as an Engineer (GCC Mines and Works - Mechanical or Electrical)
    • Project Management qualification (advantageous)
    • ECSA registration (advantageous)
    • Proficient in MS Office including MS Projects
    • Valid Driver’s license
    • Medically fit to work underground
    • Enablement and leadership skills
    • Project and change management skills
    • Ability to apply expertise and technology, deliver results and meet customer expectations
    • Solution focused, resourceful, innovative problem solver focused on incremental continuous improvement of TMM performance
    • Reporting skills (progress, quality, planning and scheduling)

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • Minimum 10 years of experience working in shaft sinking operations as a Winding Engine Driver
    • Minimum 5 years of primary production mining experience at engineer level, of which at least 3 years as a legally appointed engineer for TMM equipment with control of related maintenance teams and systems
    • Experience in infrastructure installation and maintenance
    • Experience interpreting technical drawings and designs
    • Experience in predictive maintenance analysis and conducting failure and trend analysis
    • Experience in working within project allowables

    Job description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Effective team and self-management in alignment with M&RC's values and leadership initiatives

    Minimum requirements

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
    • Section 26 Recognised/Equivalent Trade Certificate
    • Mine based technical certifications (e.g. Basic Hydraulics and Basic Rigging <3ton)
    • Engineering Foreman Certificate of competence or proof of formal Supervisory training in planning, leading, organising, and control
    • MS Office Proficient (Word & Excel)
    • Sound verbal and written communication skills in English

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • At least 5 years’ or more mining industry experience (underground and surface)
    • At least 5 years’ practical experience as an Artisan, appointed in a legal position
    • At least 2 years’ experience acting on a supervisory level as an Engineering Foreman

    Payroll Supervisor - Bedfordview

    Job description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Supervise the daily activities of the payroll administrators effectively to ensure payroll runs are accurate and within deadlines
    • Payroll inputs and outputs are effectively supervised, planned, controlled, checked and captured to ensure accuracy, data integrity and cost containment
    • Generate and consolidate timeous payroll summaries, cost reports and head counts, balance sheet reconciliations, monthly journals and ad hoc reports
    • Conduct payroll audits in all areas including payroll input, provide recommendations for areas of improvement
    • Manage the leave, training, performance and development of team to ensure business continuity
    • Effective stakeholder engagement with sites and other departments to ensure smooth payroll workflows
    • Manual processes and calculations are effected in line with regulations, procedures and standards
    • Self and team provide effective and efficient administrative support to the payroll department in line with country statutory laws and M&RC’s policies, standards and procedures
    • Proactive payroll risk identification and mitigation in line with M&RC’s standards, policies, procedures
    • Effective self and team management in alignment with M&RC values and leadership initiatives

    Minimum requirements

    • Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
    • Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
    • Minimum National Diploma: Payroll Administration Services NQF Level 5
    • BCom Accounting / Finance / Human Resources Management (preferred)
    • Registration with the South African Payroll Association (advantageous)
    • Proficient in Sage 300 Payroll system (essential)
    • Proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel essential)
    • Exposure to JDE or similar ERP system (advantageous)
    • Ability to lead, supervise and train a team of payroll administrators through the full transactional flow of payroll processes and systems
    • Ability to apply country statutory laws and best practices relating to payroll
    • Sound numerical reasoning with excellent calculation ability
    • Strong administration, planning, organising, control, delegation and prioritising skills
    • Unwavering confidentiality and discretion
    • High attention to detail and level of accuracy in all tasks
    • Good English written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively under pressure

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • Minimum 6 years of full payroll function experience including reconciliations and journals
    • Experience supervising across more than one payroll database of 1500 employees, preferably in a mining or construction environment
    • At least 3 years of experience supervising a minimum of 2 team members on Sage 300 Payroll
    • Experience gathering, collating and controlling large volumes of electronic/hard copy data and balancing large reconciliations within deadlines
    • Experience implementing payroll processes effectively
    • Excellent knowledge of POPIA, BCEA, Severance, COID and TAX statutory laws
