    Solution Advisor Senior Specialist

    This is a customer facing role where you will support the sales teams during the entire cycle of a Cloud deal. Following are the key tasks that this role will perform:

    • Present in detail technical and operational aspects of the RISE with SAP Private Cloud.
    • Present the requirements and value proposition for SAP private cloud on hyperscalers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
    • Conduct technical assessment workshops with customers to define the future cloud architecture and plan the migration roadmap together with partners, System Integrators, and or SAP Professional Services.
    • Guide customers on non-functional capabilities such Business Continuity, Cybersecurity & Compliance, Networking, Technical Operations, and service consumption. 
    • Work with other teams within the Customer success board area to generate pricing and provide ongoing deal support to sales teams.
    • Own the technical discussions with the customer and act as the orchestrator of experts to obtain expertise from the SAP delivery organization as required.

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, Business Administration required from an accredited university.
    • High proficiency in customer communications and presentations is required
    • High proficiency in the SAP product portfolio, offerings, and industry solutions. 
    • Good understanding of SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies etc.)
    • Good understanding of operational aspects (Application and Technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment.  
    • Good understanding of capabilities of at least one Hyperscaler (AWS; MS Azure or GCP)
    • Ability and willingness to be part of a global team of Cloud Architects
    • Willingness to undertake customer related travel on short notice
    • Fluency in English is a MUST, other language(s) will be an asset.

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    • 5+ years of customer facing SAP Consulting experience.
    • 5+ years of solution design, enterprise architecture and or SAP implementation. 
    • Experience in a customer facing pre-sales role is an advantage.
    • Experience and/or certification(s) with IaaS Providers (AWS, MS Azure or GCP) and data centres is a big advantage.
    • Cybersecurity & Compliance expertise.
    • SAP Application Lifecycle Management and or SAP Operations.
    • ITSM, Service Design & Delivery.  
    • SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills would be very helpful.

    Operations Project Accountant

    The primary objective of the role is to be a trusted advisor to the CSS Management Team. This role enables the intersection of Strategic Thinking and Precision Execution through seamless engagement with the business.  The Cloud Success Services Revenue Operations Project Accountant will take a highly professional and inspired approach that will ensure high quality execution of the standardized operating model.

    • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports related to project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts. This may include income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial documents.
    • Budget Management: Collaborate with project managers to create and manage project budgets. Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
    • Cost Control: Analyze project costs and expenses and its impact on the revenue forecast Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to assess the financial health of projects. This may involve calculating key performance indicators (KPIs), ROI, and other financial metrics.
    • Forecasting: Prepare financial forecasts for ongoing and upcoming projects. These forecasts help project managers plan for future resource needs and potential financial risks.
    • Communication: Effectively communicate financial information and updates to project managers, senior management, and other relevant stakeholders. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
    • Risk Assessment: Identify financial risks and issues that may impact project profitability and propose strategies to mitigate these risks.
    • Continuous Improvement: Look for ways to improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy in project accounting.
    • Software Proficiency: Be proficient in using financial software and tools, such as accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP), spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel), and project management software.
    • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams, accounting departments, and other relevant departments to ensure the seamless flow of financial information and data.
    • Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management to support strategic decision-making.

    Solution Advisor Associate - SAP Academy for Customer Success - South Africa

    A Solution Advisor works with our customers and prospects to help them solve organizational challenges and meet their business objectives using SAP solutions. As a part of the sales team, a Solution Advisor is responsible for the technical aspects of the sales cycle. A Solution Advisor provides deal support by participating in discovery sessions, executive meetings and presentations and ultimately will deliver software demonstrations that help the customer understand SAP’s unique value proposition. In addition to deal support, the Solution Advisor will participate in marketing events, will lead Design Thinking sessions, and collaborate with the broader sales team to identify whitespace opportunities at existing accounts.   

    As a Solution Advisor within the SAP Academy for Customer Success, you will be responsible to:  

    • Successfully complete a 12-month program that strengthens a foundation for a successful customer-facing career at SAP. 
    • Participate in experiential learning opportunities with colleagues from all over the world and acquire a wide variety of business, industry and SAP solution skills while working with emerging and cutting-edge technologies. 
    • Receive on-the-job training under the mentorship of a senior Solution Advisor colleague while working with our customers to gain real world experience and acquire the skills necessary to help guide our customers through their Digital Transformation journey.    

    The program will enrich your knowledge of SAP as well as give you the professional experience to be ready to serve our customers. We offer full-time employment from day one with practical learning application for your role.  After successful completion of the program, you are expected to lead customer discovery sessions and survey activities to uncover business challenges and opportunities for innovation. You will create and deliver high impact and engaging software demonstrations that compel the customers to select SAP over other competitive offerings. You will also provide demand generation support through marketing events and deal execution support by responding to request for proposals. Solution Advisor roles in scope: Industry Specialists, Enterprise Architect, Innovation Principal.  

    What you’ll bring 

    • Up to 3 years’ work experience in a sales/solution advisor/customer-facing environment in a technology company OR in a role with significant exposure to software/technology solutions. 
    • Multi-dimensional experience: global experience, leadership role, athletics, entrepreneurial/self-starter, volunteerism, music. 
    • Strong communication skills including fluency in English and local language. 
    • Proficient interpersonal skills including passion, curiosity, collaborative working style, effective listening skills, professional presence, and empathy.
