    Merchandise Controller

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • Allocating available stock to stores according to plan, to optimize service and stock levels. Maintain stock records, master tables and store and product attributes. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Allocation of stock based on store needs and stock analysis
    • Handling of store orders and queries
    • Management of distribution centre stock 
    • Updating if activity records in the budget book
    • Creating new styles
    • Allocation of stock to new stores
    • Handling of customer stock queries
    • Handling of Central Office Stock Transfer Instructions (COSTI’s)
    • Ad Hoc administrative tasks

     

    JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

    • Commercial or Statistical Diploma/Degree 
    • Computer literate (MS Office - Excel)
    • Commercial or retail experience, particularly allocations experience will be an advantage
    • Competencies: Problem assessment; Detail orientation; Service orientation; Planning, organising and control; Stress tolerance and Building and maintaining relationships

    Senior Talent Management Practitioner

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

    Provide a senior specialist, Talent Management service to PEP Central Office (CO)with regards to Recruitment, Selection; Onboarding and Succession planning.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Recruitment- coordinate, manage and deliver an effective Recruitment service by identifying and leveraging various platforms to attract and source talent 
    • Selection - conduct competency-based Interview and other behavioural techniques 
    • Psychometric assessments- HPCSA registered, administer Psychometric tests, interpret and integrate assessment results into selection recommendations to inform leaders 
    • Succession Planning - co-ordinate and provide input into succession planning for CO and Sales 
    • Talent Analytics - responsible for talent data & monthly reporting 
    • Organisational design - collaborate with Central Office PS Practitioner to align job descriptions and review job grades in line with industry standards 
    • Trusted Advisor- Provide People Support trusted advisory service aligned to company values, guidelines and best practice 
    • Career Counselling- provide dynamos with career feedback and coaching 
    • Projects- Manage, co-ordinate and drive identified projects 
    • Processes- Optimising/continuous improvement of PS-related processes 
    •  Adhoc tasks 

    JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

    • A graduate in Social Science / Human Resources 
    • At least five to eight years senior specialist experience in Talent Management, preferably in retail 
    • Registration with the HPCSA as a Psychologist/Psychometrist will be an advantage 
    • Good understanding of R&S and other general HR processes, policies and procedures 
    • Passion for and interest in Talent Management, especially recruitment 
    • Computer literacy , knowledge and experience working with recruitment platforms e.g. LinkedIn & Indeed 
    • Ideal person profile: Comes across as a credible professional, PEP brand ambassador, has the ability to build and maintain good working relationships; influencing skills; organised and efficient; good planning & co-ordinating skills; effective communication skills; confident and self- aware; has energy and a positive can- do attitude; focus and drive; sound judgement and emotional maturity; enjoys working in a specialist team; collaborative and supportive with a strong service orientation.
