    Inward Handling Clerk - Randfontein

    Job Description

    • RCL FOODS is seeking a Inward Handling Clerk to join our Groceries Division. The position will report to the Raw Material Coordinator and will be based in Randfontein.
    • RCL FOODS would require you as the Inward Handling Clerk to:
    • To Ensure effective intake of Raw Materials and processing of all intake documents.  
    • Implement and maintain all SHEQ policies and training.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12
    • Understanding of inward logistics and raw material handling
    • Experience as a forklift driver will be an advantage.
    • Knowledge of Syspro/SAP/ MS Office

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Daily stock count to be done on all bulk raw materials and by-products, counts to be captured and communicated to management
    • Intake register to be completed of all incoming and outgoing loads and communicated to management
    • Printing and recording of all loading documents
    • Daily processing of all documents for loads received
    • Daily GRN’s to be done on System for loads received 
    • Processing of staff time sheets and submitting for sign off
    • Load leave workflows and submit for approval
    • Conduct SHEQ training (toolbox talks) and submit training registers to relevant departments
    • Manage all assets, inspect and monitor safe usage and that no equipment is misused
    • Maintain records of inspections done
    • Monthly SHE inspections to be done and signed off
    • GMP audit findings investigations and closing of findings
    • Implementation and training of all policies and procedures
    • Update notice boards with policy changes, new policies and regulation information as well as additional informational content
    • Raise job cards on system for maintenance requirements
    • Raise non-conformances on system as and when required
    • Reorder PPE in line with annual requirements and when required
    • Ensure Office equipment, canteen and change rooms requirements are sufficient and reorder as required
    • Complete requisitions and ensure orders are placed for all intake requirements (such as tea and coffee, stationary etc)

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Legislative and Policy Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with the Food Safety and the OHSACT and regulations.
    • Ensure the region and sites has have the current Vector quality and food safety standards and procedures in place.
    • Ensure documentation completion and submission requirements are adhered to.
    • Ensure all internal policies are aligned to legislative requirements and best practices.
    • Review and update all SHERQ procedures and checklists.

    Operational Compliance Support and Auditing

    • Co-ordinate the development, implementation and management of a standardized integrated SHERQ management system as per the required standard.
    • Conduct internal audits and inspections.
    • Implement and maintain quality tools to ensure quality control and compliance.
    • Provide management and staff training Ensure that all traceability and recalls procedures are followed
    • Accompany inspectors during on-site inspections and respond to regulatory non-compliance
    • Maintain the HACCP system and other safety information and documentation
    • Implement, administer, monitor and maintain the warehouse foods safety programme and associated documentation
    • Update all SHE & food safety systems, lists and files
    • Ensure that fire prevention and emergency procedures are identified and implemented.
    • Conduct workplace and job-specific hazard analysis to identify potential hazards
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of risk control measures and recommend changes
    • Maintain risk registers
    • Communicate risk control and risk management information by analyzing data, developing indicators, producing and presenting required reports and advising management accordingly.
    • Liaise with external bodies eg. Department of Labour, fire department, contractors, service providers and emergency services with regard to local governmental compliance requirements and best practices.

    Incident Investigation

    • Conduct post-incident investigations in order to identify root causes and determine appropriate preventative and corrective action
    • Ensure proper administration of the incident reporting and investigation system, legal documents and registers
    • Analyze and investigate customer complaints. Facilitate interventions to address the problem and monitor improvements
    • Seek continual improvement in the SHERQ space by regularly monitoring regional and site activities and assessing new developments' implications.

    Communication and Reporting

    • Analyse data, develop leading indicators, determine trends and produce and present required reports to advise management accordingly.
    • Engage with external bodies (eg. Department of Health and service providers) regarding compliance requirements and best practices.
    • Advise project managers regarding the requirements of contractors on site, safety files etc.

    Cash Office Clerk - Durban

    Job Description    

    • RCL Foods is recruiting for a highly energized, people orientated Cash Office Clerk to manage cash and minimise exposure to drivers. Maintains and reconciles the Drivers Accounts. Responsible for invoicing and issuing credits to drivers. Reconciles and prepares driver statements and initiates follow-up procedures for unpaid amounts. Processing daily Driver cash ups.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Education

    • NQF level 4/5, Matric 

    Experience

    • 1yrs experience in a credit control and cash handling environment

    General

    • Proficient in MS Excel, Previous experience of JDE or an ERP system advantageous

    • RCL FOODS is seeking a Cost Accountant. The role will be based in Pretoria West Mill and reports to the Management Accountant. RCL FOODS is looking for an individual who is analytical, has attention to detail and experienced in cost and management accounting at a plant (Beneficial).The successful incumbent will be responsible for daily mass balancing of Manufacturing Work in Progress (WIP), including identifying, analyzing and posting of variances per job to provide management accounting support and insight to the Business in particular Manufacturing and Commercial.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • BCOM/BTEC degree in Accountant/Management Accounting
    • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment
    • Stock control and stock management experience

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    Reporting and Variance Analysis

    • Provide support for Job cost analysis / WIP variances: Daily mass balance per job
    •  Identifying variances (actuals vs expected cost as per the BOM)
    •  Analyzing and posting of the job variances
    • Provide support for managing of data accuracy and reconciliation between ERP (Syspro) and 3rd party system integrations (Wonderware scales)
    • Provide support and document investigation of variances
    • Engage with the Management Accountant to provide the business with the tools to make informed strategic decisions, implement change and maximize profitability
    • Analyze and explain KPI fluctuations and variances

    Costing

    • Assist the Management Accountant in determination of product cost, especially the allocation of non-material costs.
    • Creating and maintaining Work Centers, Operations and Bill of Materials (BOM’s)
    • Understanding the cost drivers and provide commercial insight into variances of cost drivers month on month
    • Participate in investigations and audits to support initiatives designed to control costs and maximize profits
    • Analyze proposed changes to cost allocations and assist with data collections of new business proposals
    • Calculate the actual impact of changes that have been made and new cost allocation and present to Management AccountantCapex

    We have the opportunity within our Group R&D function for a role as Group R&D Packaging Executive. The scope of this role covers our Groceries (Mayonnaise, Peanut Butter, Beverages, Rusks and Cereals), Milling and Baking as well as the Spreads (Siqalo Foods) categories.

    The key purpose of this role is to elevate the pivotal role that packaging plays in RCL’s Growth strategy. This necessitates the definition and delivery of the R&D Packaging program for RCL Foods. This includes the Group Packaging Innovation and technology roadmap across core and differentiating packaging technologies within the Group in line with the RCL Growth agenda.  With our updated RCL sustainability strategy, this role plays a critical role in the definition and execution of our Packaging Sustainability Goals to meet our RCL Sustainability ambition specifically on Responsible Packaging.

    Other core responsibilities include delivery of cost savings via the Value Engineering Program as well as support to the Business Units ensuring ongoing high-quality packaging design and execution.

    As the Group R&D Packaging Executive, you carry the responsibility, both as business leader and partner providing strategic leadership and operational stewardship towards delivering the business short-, medium- and long-term agenda. This is done working collaboratively with Business Leaders cross functionally in Marketing, Customer Development, Consumer Insight, Supply Chain and Sourcing, Commercial and with Business Unit teams. This role carries leadership responsibility for an experienced Packaging team working across Business Units. Externally, the role has a significant packaging technology business partnering role with packaging suppliers and relevant packaging bodies. The role has a direct reporting into the Group R&D Director and can be Durban or Gauteng Based.
