Job Description    

• Forvis Mazars in Gauteng is looking for a dynamic individual to join their Accounting and Independent Review Team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for performing accounting and limited assurance engagements for small to medium-sized businesses client base.

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Prepare and process accounting entries;
• Reconcile monthly accounts;
• Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports;
• Perform and  or manage limited assurance engagements;
• Manage individual productivity (include completion of timesheets);
• Foster, build and maintain professional relationships with clients;

Minimum Requirements    

Candidate Requirements

• B.Com Financial Accounting Degree or equivalent from a reputable institution
• Completed SAICA Training Contract in Assurance environment
• Post article experience within an audit and accounting firm will be beneficial

Job Description    

• An opportunity exists at Forvis Mazars in South Africa; an international professional services firm.
• We are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to administer the Corporate Saver Account and render general administration support within the Money Market Department.

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Receive deposits
• Process withdrawal instructions and arrange for authorisations
• Open new accounts
• Ensure clients are FICA compliant
• Liaison with clients, staff and partners
• Liaison with bank staff
• Resolve queries with various parties
• Monitor system and balance interest daily
• Perform daily reconciliations
• Attend to banking details
• Assist with ad hoc duties in the Money Market department.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 qualification
• Administrative qualification will be advantageous
• At least 2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Previous Financial services experience will be advantageous
• Quality and detail orientated
• Strong administration skills
• Computer literate (MS Word, Outlook and Excel)
• Knowledge of banking procedures
• Strong people and communication skills
• Be able to operate under pressure and meet daily deadlines
• Be able to deal with and resolve problems
• Client focused
