    Manager Sales Development Data Analytics - EM South

    About the job

    Purpose & Overall Relevance for the OrganizationUsing data, sales trends and market research; develop tools to monitor, report and provide meaningful and actionable insights into market performance.Support in analysing seasonal performance providing guidance to Product Teams on range efficiency and effectiveness as well as to aid in improving forecasting accuracy. Act as local centre of excellence for all analytics relates topics and drive implementation of analytics tools across the organisation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare data analysis for EM South WHS, Franchise and Own Channel on a monthly (or more frequent) basis, providing recommendations and insights on including but not limited to:
    • Sell In Performance
    • Sell Out Performance
    • Profitability Performance
    • Orderbook Analytics
    • Digital Share Performance
    • Channel and Marketplace Analysis
    • Range Analysis and Assortment Optimisation
    • Consult across Functions and Channels ensuring most effective reporting and insight generation
    • Work with EM and Global Sales Development Teams to develop and improve reporting solutions and drive best practice across markets
    • Market contact for all key external stakeholders
    • Ensure accuracy and relevancy of data analysed

    • Global: Global Sales Development
    • Market: EM Sales Development and BI Teams
    • Cluster: Channels, Marketing, CTC, IT, Demand Planning and Finance

    Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Very good presentation skills and storytelling ability
    • Strong understanding of retail and consumer landscape, including retail KPI’s
    • Highly skilled in translating business questions into analytical models
    • Understanding of Finance, Customer Service and Sales functions
    • Independent, logical thinker with high level of attention to detail
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Advanced user of MS Office suite of products (Excel, Powerpoint)
    • SAP, BI visualization tools (eg. MicroStrategy, PowerBI) experience a plus

    Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications

    • Experience in leveraging data and analytics to inform strategies
    • University degree in business, finance, analytics
    • Experience in analytics or reporting role – ideally in Retail/eCom an advantage
    • Previous industry experience including Sporting Goods, Fashion, FMCG an advantage
    • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
    • Strong interpersonal skills (communication, influencing, stakeholder management)
    • 3+ years retail management / retail operations / project management experience in a retail environment

    Local KA & Regional Account Representative - EM South

    Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

    • To ensure profitable market share and net sales growth within Local Key Accounts, Regional Accounts and Sports Specialists in South Africa while respecting the image of the adidas Group brands
    • To passionately assist the Senior Manager Franchise & JHB Accounts in identifying, developing and implementing strategies for the profitable growth of the adidas Group brands

    Key Responsibilities 

    • To implement the Wholesale Excellence strategy
    • To ensure the best possible Net Sales result by setting clear targets and action points; constant tracking of results; analysis of risks & new business opportunities
    • To ensure the Wholesale organization is applying available adidas Group standards and best practices in daily work
    • To support negotiation and enforcement of adidas Group trade terms
    • To ensure all customers are allocated to the correct sales channels
    • To monitor and report on customers and competitors sell-through and activities, and propose/initiate/take actions
    • To provide realistic plans and forecasts on customers performances
    • To measure progress on defined KPis
    • To monitor all reports
    • To ensure customer compliance with agreements

    • Strong interpersonal skills: Very good communications and negotiating abilities as well as high presentation, relationship management and facilitation skills
    • High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge (e.g. sales, retail, trade marketing, customer service, finance and controlling)
    • Strong decision taking and determination and shows high initiative and pragmatism to the business.
    • Fluent in written and spoken local language as well as English. Skills and abilities in other language are an added plus

    Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

    • Tertiary qualification in business with marketing and sales focus
    • Minimum 3 years of sales experience within large sales organisations, ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG 
    • Exposure: Sports, Marketing, Supply Chain
