    Lecturer: School Of Social Sciences (Psychology)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Lecturing

    • Lecture on programmes (must lecture on an IIE qualification) across various modes of delivery where relevant
    • Marking of assessments and feedback to students in subjects lectured. May be required to internally moderate assessments scripts that fall within their subject fields, where necessary across IIE sites of delivery

    Lecturer Development and Support

    • Assist in lecturer development and support processes and procedures. This may include conducting peer reviews, facilitating workshops and one-on-one consultations

    Lecturer and Material Development and Support

    • Assist in lecturer development and support processes and procedures. This may include conducting peer reviews, facilitating workshops and one-on-one consultations
    • Assist with the development of assessments and other learning material as required

    Student Development & Support

    • Championing/leading and managing academic development and support for a specific programme and its students
    • Tracking student success and implementing support interventions where required 

    Research & Scholarship

    • The incumbent is required to promote a culture of scholarship within their practice, discipline and campus/team and is also required to contribute towards IIE MSA achieving its annual research output targets.
    • A strong research and publication record is advantageous.

    Senior Student Advisor (Undergraduate) - Durban North

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Presentation Target

    • Deliver engaging presentations at targeted schools, showcasing the benefits of our institution.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for networking and presentations at seminars and conferences.
    • To coordinate, teach & supervise the training of Candidate legal practition.

    • Oversee roll-out of community advice desks and associated legal education outreach training.

    • Prepare regular reports for funders, stakeholders, the IIE VC School of Law and Faculty of Law.
    • Implement the CLC’s budget, including financial planning, monitoring, and fiscal responsibility.
    • Represent the CLC in the Gauteng/Tswane region in public forums, media, and professional associations to enhance its reputation and influence.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential client records and clinic operation.

    Legal Drafting

    • Manage all matters from time of consultation until such time as matter is litigated and resolved or referred to an Attorney or Advocate  within the required standards of the profession
    • Legal advice and guidance to clients.
    • Drafting of pleadings and correspondences.
    • Negotiating and drafting of various agreements and corporate documents
    • Researching law and drafting legal opinions

    Head Coach And Co-Ordinator - Durban North

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Coordination of Varsity Sheild Program

    • Head Coach for the Varsity Sheild and USSA team which involves designing, managing the periodization plan for the year. Ensuring structured and planned training sessions and the development of an effective and successful VS and USSA game plan.
    • Responsible for the recruitment of the team for Varsity Shield and USSA program in line with Varsity Cup rules and regulations.
    • Tracking and monitoring the strength and conditioning program by attending the sessions as well as ensuring the S&C professional is providing regular updates and implementing solutions where necessary.
    • Managing the players overall progress by working together with various stakeholders i.e. the academic team, medical team, accommodation owners, logistics coordinator etc. Implement weekly 1 on 1 meetings with players to provide feedback and guidance to our student-athletes.
    • Provide an effective link with the Sharks and their coaching structure to maximize the VC / Sharks relationship. This includes recruitment and daily monitoring of joint contracted players.
    • Provide monthly progress reports to National Sports Manager for the holistic Varsity Shield and USSA program.

    Manage and Coordinate Varsity Rugby Club

    • Meeting with coaches on a weekly basis to ensure the game plans are understood and all VCRC coaches are working together
    • Manage, monitor and advise all coaches to ensure that all players are adequately coached and are given maximum opportunity.
    • Together with the VCRC Executive Committee encourage and implement the club’s ethos and Code of Conduct, demonstrating these values in your own actions, by leading by example.
    • Ensure the club coaches are focused on building the club player base by recruiting and retaining players (student and non-students) that would be able to perform in each respective league.

    Competencies Required:

    • High level of organizational, administrative, computer and interpersonal skills required
