    Assistant Procurement Manager - Capex & MRO

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Support Procurement Manager in developing and executing supplier strategy for CAPEX/MRO (Maintenance and Repairs Operations) portfolio, which has annual spend of circa, 40mil EURO for 6 manufacturing sites and 2 warehouses in South Africa.
    • Assess supply market and adapt strategy according to market conditions.
    • Assess supplier capability and suitability through regular site visits and reporting back on findings.
    • Develop and improve supplier cost models to drive increase in transparency of cost drivers
    • Unlock cash and cost value through setting up and execution of benchmarking, RFQs, E-tenders. Support delivery of savings and creditor extension programme for portfolio
    • Support and occasionally lead supplier negotiations
    • Provide market intelligence to portfolio manager and business leaders to assist in strategic decision making.
    • Connect with site engineering and regional engineering teams and other business partners as well as with suppliers, to understand future technology and capability roadmap that supports value delivery and USLP.
    • Allocate new services to suppliers to deliver best cost/service/quality in line with supply strategy.
    • Lead on-boarding of new suppliers by driving full quality and responsible sourcing compliance
    • Ensure 100% contractual compliance through signing of Unilever Purchasing Agreements and Commercial Term Contracts as well as Special Term Contracts
    • Agree annual budgets with suppliers. Implement into new CTC. Communicate/process changes in pricing as required
    • Regularly connect with global counterparts to ensure the Africa portfolio is link with the global strategy.
    • Successful implement global strategic plans in Africa
    • Manage relationships with Supply chain and other business partners, to leverage and land strategic plans.
    • Good understanding of the portfolio cost models as well as the indices link to the material types.

    • Procurement Insights and Analysis: Understand portfolio strategies and procurement requirements; Industry, global Strategy & Insights teams, economic, competition and supplier insights.
    • Procurement Strategy Formulation: Developing services supply strategy; Develop supplier strategies; Integrating procurement strategy into the business.
    • Procurement Strategy Execution and Performance Management: Competitive bidding and tendering; Supplier negotiation; Supplier qualification and on-boarding; Contractual supplier engagement; Supplier performance measurement and management
    • Partnering with Suppliers to Win: Attract, select, manage and motivate partners; Identifying value creating opportunities.
    • Driving Sustainability, Supplier Diversity and Digitalization through Procurement: Services Supply Chain analysis and risk assessment; Evidence-based measurement for sustainability

    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

    • 3-5 years’ experience in Procurement, Supply Management or Finance
    • Experience on large-scale change management projects
    • Experience in CAPEX/MRO (Maintenance, Repairs and Operations) portfolio or FMCG

    Business Insights Analyst - Sandhurst, La Lucia

    WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

    • Act as a catalyst enabling data/analytics-driven business decisions across the organisation
    • Serve as the trusted data and analytics consultant to different functions across the organisation
    • Engage with stakeholders to understand the business, problem statement and requirements
    • Analyse and re-engineer existing business and insights-related processes for efficiency
    • Engage with relevant teams within D&A to source, manage data requirements for analytics and management reporting
    • Create analytical modelling solutions to answer business questions
    • Work closely with the data science team to build diagnostic & predictive models to solve business problems
    • Create self-service and simple reporting solutions
    • Drive business engagement and help 

    WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

    • This team is responsible for managing the market’s demand for data, analytics and insights.  It will lead data analytics, data warehousing, research development and implementation of appropriate data systems and analytic solutions.  It is also responsible for streamlining in-scope processes related to data analytics and insights generation in the market, through automating, consolidating and eliminating them where appropriate to deliver a seamless, fast insights-generation experience using tooling provided by the Global D&A team.

    Experiences & Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in engineering, statistics, econometrics or Mathematics
    • Balanced profile of business knowledge/understanding and analytical savvy

    At least 2 years of experience in:

    • Driving insights from large scale structured and unstructured data
    • Data analysis, and modelling
    • Business process analysis
    • Working with Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI
    • Extracting and dealing with data from multiple data sources (e.g. financial systems, Marketing databases, etc.)
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Project Management experience
    • Ability to see patterns across data
    • Ability to engage in formulating novel and compelling insights and engage in storytelling from data insights
    • Continuous learning of new tools & computer languages via external sources that brings direct value to the business
    • Clearly articulate technical work to non-technical business owners
    • Critical thinking & flexibility to effectively work around technical & business constraints
    • Experience in Project management as lead and team member
    • Ability to handle or work across multiple projects at any time
    • Self-directed
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

    • Track global feedstock and forex movements and translate into price forecasts required regularly by business
    • Provide market intelligence to PM and business leaders to assist in strategic decision making
    • Support innovation by identifying capable suppliers to deliver required specifications of materials
    • Connect with RD business partners to understand future supplier technology and capability roadmap that supports value delivery and USLP. Assist in delivering roadmap
    • Allocate new materials to suppliers to deliver best cost/service/quality in line with supply strategy
    • Lead on-boarding of new suppliers by driving full quality and responsible sourcing compliance
    • Ensure 100% contractual compliance through signing of Unilever Purchasing Agreements and Commercial Term Contracts as well as Special Term Contracts
    • Agree quarterly and annual material prices with suppliers. Implement into new CTC. Submit prices to proc ops colleagues for contract upload
    • Regularly connect with procurement operations and category colleagues to understand GM, service, quality, capacity, WC hot spots. Engage suppliers and adapt strategy to drive improvement in hot-spot areas

    Experiences & Qualifications

    • At 3-5 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Management
    • Experience on large-scale change management projects
    • Experience in relevant portfolio
