    Risk and Security Manager

    Duties:

    • Management of Risk
    • Management of Security and Service Providers
    • Plan, design and implementing the risk management tactics
    • Daily risk assessments and evaluations
    • Risk auditing and reporting
    • Weekly security audit and reporting
    • Business continuity plans
    • Loss control, prevention and exception management and investigations across all regional sites
    • Introduce intelligence to identify high loss areas and develop corrective actions
    • Access control
    • CCTV management and affiliated service providers
    • Management of the complete Health and Safety function for the site as required and stipulated by law
    • Responsible for compliance to all OHS Act (administration and operational) and other relevant acts, regulations and by law

    Attributes required:

    • Specialised industry and risk training, and a track record of implementing risk programmes
    • Proven Investigation experience
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills, supported by excellent presentation and project management skills
    • Decisive leader with strong planning, organization and control
    • Stress tolerant and confident
    • Deadline-driven and results orientated with a proven track record of achievements
    • High business acumen
    • Demonstrated problem solving capabilities in a complex business environment

    Qualifications:

    • Risk Management Qualification
    • Min 5 years in Middle Management Risk Management in a Logistics / Warehousing / Transport / Supply Chain / Clearing and Forwarding Environment

    Operations Branch Manager

    National leading express courier company, specialising in express delivery services for letters and parcels both business and personal needs in South Africa and International markets is seeking a Branch Manager that specializes in Operations only, reporting to the Regional Executive. Responsible for 3 Direct reports and over 100 ground staff

    Duties include:

    • Deal with a heavily unionized environment (recent) of 115 employees
    • Ability to get buy in from the staff on the ground
    • Ensure operation process and procedures are implement in all aspects of operations
    • Ensure overtime and hours are recorded accurately for processing of payroll
    • Manage operational targets
    • Compile reports and documents
    • Take immediate action on non-compliance issues
    • Ensure the OHS and quality standards
    • Identify and timeously address functional related problems and opportunities
    • Ensure client relationships are maintained
    • Competitor analysis
    • Control expenses to assist with the GP of the branch

    Requirements:

    • Matric
    • Tertiary Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain
    • 5 Years’ experience in the Courier Industry
    • 3 Years’ experience in a Leadership and Operations Management Role
