    Multi Skilled Artisan - Vereeniging

    Qualification Requirements

    Experience Requirements

    • Minimum - 5-7 Years in relevant trade – Electrician,Fitter,Millwright
    • Minimum – 5-7 Years experience on FAWEMA packing machines

    Key Outputs

    Main Objectives:

    • Safety Management : Adhere to all site PPE, safety requirements, safe operating procedures and work instructions. • Attend safety training, safety meetings, inductions, medical examinations, and safety talks. • Adhere to Lock out and permit procedures.
    • Maintenance support : Perform planned maintenance on all Premier Mills. Complete all planned preventative maintenance work orders. Perform overtime duties when required. Prepared to assist with projects. Provide mentorship training assistance for apprentices.
    • Maintenance management : Maintain availability of packing machines plant. Execute tasks according to standards (no rework/comebacks). Control job execution times (actual vs. estimate).Provide mentorship training assistance for apprentice and  site artisans. 
    • Administration and Housekeeping: Capturing feedback and time on all completed work orders and completion of necessary inspection of reports. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work area through regular housekeeping activities. All machines and tools must be maintained in a clean and operational condition. Adherence to timekeeping is essential.

    • Managing transporter pallets effectively, ensuring timely processing and coordination with logistics partners by monitoring transporter pallet movements and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
    • Controlling costs associated with pallet management through diligent monitoring and cost-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimise pallet utilisation and minimise expenses.
    • Performing daily follow-up and recovering of outstanding pallets based on Customer Record Cards by maintaining accurate records of pallet movements and transactions for audit and compliance purposes.
    • Compiling monthly Group Pallet Reports to provide insights and performance analysis by assisting sites and teams in managing pallets cost-effectively and implementing best practices.

    • Handed over cash (Cash Company)
    • Handed over cash is recorded in the Deposit Register
    • Deposit Register is signed by the cash company service provided in accordance with SOP
    • Bank deposit receipts balance 100% with the Deposit Register returned by the cash company service provider
    • All anomalies are rectified in accordance with specifications
    • Cash and cheque reconciliations
    • Reconciliations are conducted daily and are 100% accurate and balance with system
