    Senior MIS Analyst

    MINIMUM EDUCATION

    • BSc Degree in Computer Science/ BSc Degree in Programming/ BCom Informatics

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

    • 5 Years’ experience in a MIS function in the Banking Sector

    KEY RESULT AREAS

    Delivering Monthly MIS Reports

    • Translate business requirements into advanced MIS Reports
    • Gathering information by running SQL queries over the data warehouse
    • Automation of Business users reporting needs, consulting with users, best practise
    • solutions to optimize reporting, identify opportunities to utilise data and so drive
    • optimisation of analytics, and forecasts

    Analysis

    • Conduct high level business analysis as required by senior management / credit
    • committee/ collections steerco
    • Identify trends and establish reasons for anomalies

    Operations Management - Ad Hoc Reports, develop new reports to service business needs

    • Provide ad-hoc analytics based on business requests
    • Utilize analytics tools to provide actionable insights
    • Design the report based on business specification
    • Test the output for accuracy and fit to the spec
    • Utilize data to support recommendations
    • Deliver/distribute/publish the output to the business

    Relationship Management

    • Create and maintain productive relationships with internal clients through providing advice and facilitate common understanding of business needs.
    • Provide input on the management of working relationships with third parties,
    • regulators and steering committees
    • Provide information on current strategies to internal stakeholders
    • Resolve escalated complaints from various stakeholders (both internal and external)
    • Arrange and co-ordinate book performance meetings between various stakeholders
    • Provide portfolio reports to the various stakeholders on the performance of the portfolio and the issues related to the portfolio

    Finance Manager - CA(SA)

    An exciting opportunity within a JSE listed organisation for an experienced Finance Manager. 

    The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the successful management of the largest segments finances, providing support in regards to financial decisions, reviewing profit margins and ensuring the accurate completion of financial statements 

    Duties: 

    • Provide accurate and timely financial information, reports and analysis.
    • Work collaboratively with Group Finance, to ensure financial information fits business needs and maintains high quality/integrity.
    • Perform periodic and year-end closing, in coordination with the concerned departments/divisions, including periodic IFRS financial statements for external and internal reporting including the processes supporting these.
    • Manage the production of monthly management accounts pack and ad hoc reports to internal customers.
    • Manage the preparation of financial information to segment leadership.
    • Provide input into the data model design to ensure cost allocation is possible for all required dimensions and levels of granularity.
    • Validate, check and reconcile planning, budgeting and forecasting data.
    • Highlight trends and flag potential issues.
    • Ensure the validation of budget data.
    • Review budget submissions by business units.
    • Perform financial and cost/benefit analysis of current or anticipated programs or initiatives.
    • Review inputs into monthly management packs.
    • Review budget and variance analysis/ Review of financial data.
    • Provide input into the data model design to ensure cost allocation is possible for all required dimensions and levels of granularity.
    • Work collaboratively with auditors to resolve findings.
    • Managing the day to day running of the segment.
    • Report on and analyse segment financial performance against budget providing forecasts on performance.
    • Identify trends, highlight risks, provide mitigation and provide support to business decisions.
    • Provide executive management within the Business Units with advice on the financial implications of business activities, and provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.

    Leadership

    • Talent management for direct reports in terms of recruitment, retention, and development.
    • Ensure adherence to Group Business Services performance management requirements, ensuring continuous performance feedback to and development of direct reports.
    • Ensure that all staff are motivated, developed, and appraised so that individual and collective performance meets the needs of the customers.

    Relationship

    • Work collaboratively within the segment to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
    • Work closely with the Group Tax team to ensure compliance with legislation.
    • Work with Group Business Services to ensure the production of accurate and timely information related to the segment.
    • Work collaboratively within the segment and provide support to the segment team.
    • Work collaboratively with other finance teams across the business and with Group Business Services to ensure that the Group Business Services SLA's are met.

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Masters degree in Accounting, MBA, CA, CIMA qualification or NQF equivalent.
    • 2 – 3 years’ post qualification experience in finance.
    • Experience in financial forecasting and management reporting.
    • 2+ years experience in a managerial role.
