    Brand Manager

    Job description

    ​Key Deliverables & Purpose:

    • Understand category dynamics and proposes, implements, and monitors brand/product marketing plans to achieve sales and profit objectives for allocated brands/products for the short, medium and long term.
    • Prepare brand/product marketing plans that align with market opportunities and with specific focus on aligning with the Business Unit on actions plans for new products and key promotional activities.
    • Collaborate with functional teams to implement brand strategy.
    • Develop high impact consumer communications by integrating all media options to achieve brand and business goals which maximise our return on investment.
    • Work cross functionally to develop the marketing budget and controls and manage monthly through an in-depth review of the budget and marketing expenditure.
    • Manage marketing’s input into the Monthly Commercial Review and drive the implementation of action plan from the review.
    • Prepares sales and profit estimates and project manages production and distribution for promotions, etc. Liaises with internal departments and external agencies to ensure full communication and success of marketing plans.
    • Contributes to creativity of product packaging, presentation, and promotional activities. Constantly monitors performance of managed brands/products to ensure it meets organization objectives. Identifies new business opportunities for new products, re-launches, packaging changes, and range extensions.
    • Work cross functionally to review price strategy and based on brand strategy, competitive and financial analysis make recommendations for price increases
    • Develop marketing plans that are bring the product into life for consumers through the creative implementation of core mix to achieve business results.
    • Use business processes and resources to translate insights into innovative solutions by creating an environment in which external agencies are supported in developing more creative solutions.

    Experience/Skills Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Sales or Marketing
    • 3-5 Years’ experience in FMCG in brand management in a management position responsible for several brands
    • Exposure to consumer insights, strategy, budget & planning, promotions management, business and financial management, new product development, digital media, advertising development, project management and an understanding of the trade environment
