    Student Support Administrator

    Job description

    The Position

    The position of DLO (Distance Learning Online) Student Support Administrator is a student support function in (Cape Town) and is responsible for assisting with the support and retention of DLO students. Where necessary queries will need to be cascaded to relevant staff or meetings set up subject matter experts.

    Responsibilities

    • Retention of DLO students
    • Ensure “Walk to Class” functions are managed for DLO students on all modules within the Commerce faculty
    • Ensure students are familiar with the rules and policies pertaining to DLO
    • Assist with the monitoring of the academic performance of DLO students within the 6/8 week cycle
    • Manage the At Risk activities for all DLO students
    • Liaise with sales team in respect of DLO campaigns and to assist the students with the DLO registration process
    • Manage AC process for DLO students
    • Good relationships with students and colleagues
    • To uphold good relationships with our DLO students and colleagues
    • To treat all correspondence received from students with urgency
    • To ensure that management is keep informed of any issues arising / complaints received from students.

    General

    • Demonstrate an awareness of the Milpark organisational policies and procedures
    • Ensure that you are fully aware of the functionality of the various systems and tools as required in the student support team
    • Ensure that you fully understand the details of the Milpark portfolio of Educational Products & Programmes
    • Ensure that all deadlines / critical dates pertaining to Support are adhered to according to academic planners, rosters etc.

    Education & Experience Requirements

    • Minimum of a Grade 12 Qualification
    • Tertiary qualification an advantage
    • Knowledge of Moodle software an advantage
    • At least 3 years’ experience in a Customer Service environment
    • Ability to use technology (Excel, Outlook, Web, databases)
    • High Level verbal and written communication skills
