    Design and Marketing Associate

    Job description

    S-RM is seeking to recruit a Marketing and Design Associate to be based in its Cape Town office. The role will be a central part of the company’s international operations, supporting all aspects of design and marketing development in the company.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Designing, creating and coordinating the distribution of the company’s branded communications and newsletters, as well as supporting the development of marketing materials;
    • Creation and maintenance of company templates including reports and presentations (Word and PowerPoint)
    • Contributing to the development of the company’s website (WordPress) and various company online platforms;
    • Supporting the management of the company’s online profile, including social media management;
    • Producing innovative graphic (multimedia) support content for inclusion in client reports and publications;
    • Offering input into the company’s marketing and branding strategy and brand application across various mediums;
    • Managing a team of two design assistants, both based in Cape Town.

     

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will need to have the following competencies:

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree to a high standard or similar qualification;
    • 2 – 4 years experience (agency or in-house)
    • Knowledge and experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign essential) and WordPress
    • UX/UI design experience advantageous
    • DTP knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint essential)
    • Excellent written and spoken English;
    • Efficient time management skills with ability to work to tight deadlines;
    • An eye for detail;
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; and,
    • A proactive approach and a willingness to work outside the job specification when required.
    • Candidates must be eligible to work in South Africa without visa sponsorship.
