    Change Manager

    About the job
    CHANGE MANAGER - 6 - 12 month contract


    Main Purpose         

    • Create the change management strategy, plans and interventions to shift the organisation to new ways of working in line with the Programme’s outcomes
    • To create engagement plans and material across the entire programme for the organisation
    • Work collaboratively across multiple business units to design, execute, and lead multiple teams through organisational change efforts of varying complexity
    • Work with multiple Project Managers to ensure that the Project teams are on-boarded and trained, and that resources are upskilled appropriately

    Key Responsibilities 

    Utilising change management principles, processes and tools to:

    • Focus on driving changes in the ways of working within the business
    • Focus on driving behavioural changes within the business
    • Design and implement change strategy
    • Design and implement change plans to maximise employee adoption
    • Assess stakeholder impacts and organisational readiness
    • Recommend and/or implement appropriate communication, training, and behavioural change solutions
    • Measure effectiveness to enhance IT organisation, team and individual performance

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Understand stakeholders and create stakeholder impact matrices
    • Bring all stakeholders on board to new ways of working with new technology (not only teams directly impacted)
    • Create an understanding of the effectiveness of an agile way of working

    Manage Organisation Transformation:

    • Create change strategy and change plans to manage the people impacts across the organisation
    • Coach and guide impacted areas in terms of new ways of working and drive day-to-day change management activities while providing the appropriate levels of support and coaching for team members
    • Educate and coach impacted areas and people, sponsors, and functional leaders on change management principles, tools, and their roles in effective change
    • Recommend appropriate new or revised change management tools and practices
    • Analysis of people impact of changes to processes and ways of working in line with the Programme outcomes considering:

       People (skills and behaviours)

    •    Processes
    •    Capabilities
    •    Policy
    •    Structure
    •    Stakeholder identification and alignment
    •    Appropriate communication and feedback loops
    •    Success measures
    •    Training
    •    Organisational readiness
    •    Long-term sustainability         

    Manage Engagement:

    • Work with programme transformation team to deliver integrated engagement and communication across the business
    • Build and maintain effective partnerships with key cross functional leaders and teams
    • Provide an engagement plan that is integrated with the broader programme engagement plan
    • Work with the Programme team to shape key messages and comms appropriate for stakeholder
    • Create communication that is relevant to specific stakeholders (Integrated with broader engagement
    • Onboard New Programme Resources:

    Facilitate the onboarding of new resources with programme context
    General:

    • Identify risks and opportunities and create mitigation strategies
    • All change documentation relevant to the IT change are set up and maintained
    • Integrate with the Value Chain Transformation Programme / Business Change Stream
    • Status/Change reporting

    Minimum qualifications & experience

    • Five years relevant Change Management experience
    • Relevant 3 year tertiary or NQF aligned qualification
    • Understanding of agile methodologies and previous experience of working with IT, Business and / or People Transformation, preferably in the Fashion, Beauty and Home Value Chain
    • Relevant retail industry experience is required
