Head - IS&T HR Support at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification
• 8 years and above relevant experience
• Experience across a broad range of Human Resources functions and providing strategic HR support

Key Performance Areas

• Lead and coordinate strategic workforce planning, organizational structure alignment and job description development in alignment with departmental objectives
• Forecast staffing requirements in response to departmental growth and changing business needs.
• Develop and implement IS&T recruitment strategies to ensure effective hiring and onboarding in collaboration with HR teams.
• Lead and coordinate recruitment activities and vacancy management processes.
• Drive employee growth, workplace relations, and performance management to support organizational objectives
• Identify skills gaps and training and development needs.
• Support line management with employee relations matters, including disciplinary and counselling processes.
• Provide guidance and support on employee performance management.
• Coordinate and report on Departmental IDP processes
• Manage and coordinate HR administration and compliance activities within the IS&T Department
• Ensure effective people management and performance monitoring
• Represent the Department on relevant corporate and directorate forums.
• Engage with stakeholders across City departments, including Corporate HR and HR Business Partners
