    HR Business Partner

    Key Responsibilities:

    HR Audits & Legislation:

    • Participate in HR audits, ensuring compliance with qualifications, skills, and competency requirements.
    • Monitor and provide advice on HR legislation, ensuring adherence to acts such as the Labour Relations Act and Skills Development Act.

    Recruitment, Selection & Exits:

    • Manage headcount planning and vacancy approvals.
    • Coordinate recruitment processes, including job advertising, screening, interviewing, and assessments.
    • Draft employment contracts and manage onboarding processes.
    • Conduct exit interviews and compile related statistics and recommendations.

    Performance Management:

    • Coordinate performance appraisals, system reviews, and training sessions.
    • Support managers in mentoring underperforming employees and developing Individual Development Plans (IDPs).

    Industrial Relations (IR):

    • Monitor IR climate, advising on labour practices and maintaining sound labour relations.
    • Represent the company in disciplinary hearings, mediations, and CCMA or Labour Court processes.
    • Facilitate grievance resolutions and coordinate wage negotiations.

    Talent Management & Transformation:

    • Manage and update talent development and succession plans.
    • Facilitate mentoring programmes and identify critical roles and career paths.
    • Oversee Employment Equity (EE) compliance and workforce transformation efforts.

    BBBEE Compliance:

    • Monitor and improve BBBEE initiatives and scorecards.
    • Facilitate audits and provide regular updates on BBBEE targets and status.

    General HR Support:

    • Act as a custodian of people-related policies, providing effective implementation and advice.
    • Ensure compliance with POPIA regulations.
    • Support cost-saving initiatives and foster employee engagement.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Human Resources or Psychology.

    Experience:

    • 5–10 years’ relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
