Plant Manager at Melki Group South Africa

We require an experienced Plant Manager. Aspects, ranging but not limited to, planning, organization, control and client relations to the plant hire division.

Responsibilities

• Planning, organizing, and running optimum day-to-day operations
• Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
• Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
• Commit to plant safety procedures and oversee plant workshop repair schedule
• Have mechanical knowledge to engage with mechanics and carry out plant inspections
• Communicate and monitor breakdowns and costs
• Oversee Licensing, Tracker, and Insurance records
• Control the Plant where abouts and ensure that all records are kept for accurate invoicing
• Insurance- Ensure that all Plant and Vehicles are insured and remove when either sold or written off etc.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 10 years yellow plant and trucks operations experience
• Have mechanical knowledge to engage with mechanics
• Proven knowledge of Plant hire industry and
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to converse well in English & Zulu
• Proficient in Microsoft 365
