    Portfolio Manager - Vodacom Business Digital Sales

    The Portfolio Manager is responsible for defining and owning the VB digital sales strategy and execution programmes (in close consultation with key stakeholders across the business) within the Digital and CX domain, its delivery, progress and business case and budget tracking. It will also be responsible for driving on-going increases in customer acquisition, sales, satisfaction, usage, cost saving and revenue generation across products and services. It will require an ability to research, track and monitor market, competitor and customer insights and formulate responses, particularly related to revenue generating digital sales initiatives. It must own, define and drive the building of the strategy and roadmap of digital sales initiatives, ranging mobile application and web journeys, integration into various SAAS and retailing partners and very closely collaborate with various technology, business, product, strategy, marketing and center of excellence partners. They must be able to engage and understand business intention and convert into executable digital sales initiatives.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • Customer Experience
    • Bring customer segment and experience into every decision
    • Listen and ask questions to understand our customers’ needs
    • Ensure that digital experiences are aligned with behavioural insights and intentional designs
    • Digital sales strategy and execution
    • Create digital sales strategy and obtain organisational buy-in
    • Drive delivery (and product ownership) of projects to achieve digital sales business objectives.
    • Partner with relevant parties to drive sales strategies
    • Commercial ownership of VB digital sales, across digital channels
    • Performance Tracking & Improvement
    • Continuous monitoring of performance across digital sales channels and initiatives
    • Run initiatives to improve revenue, customer satisfaction, adoption and cost saving
    • Partner with digital marketing, CVM and other key role players to achieve shared success and give transparency to key metrics
    • Cross department collaboration
    • Vodacom Business digital channels champion
    • Obtain buy-in across the organisation
    • Remove operational and execution barriers
    • Create and foster key relationships across the Vodacom and Vodafone group.
    • Identify opportunities for collaboration or to leverage group assets to gain speed, cost or customer experience efficiencies.
    • Capability build and maturity
    • Own and drive capability build within and across digital channels
    • Understand technical solutions, impediments and opportunities at a high level
    • Product own requirements and backlog prioritization of features
    • Own successful implementation of solutions
    • Identify and drive continuous improvement and maturity within the department


    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business or information systems areas (essential)
    • Digital Marketing (beneficial)
    • MBA (beneficial)
    • 8-10 Years’ Experience Within Digital Sales (essential)
    •  
    • 5-7 years’ relevant experience in the telecommunications industry (essential)
    •  
    • 8-10 Years’ Experience Product Development Skills (essential)
    • 5-7 years’ Digital Channels (essential)
    • Digital marketing (advantageous)

    2 Years’ Leadership/ Managerial/ Supervisory Experience (essential)
