Road Plant Operator at eThekwini Municipality

Key Responsibility Areas

• Operates items of plant relevant to wastewater reticulation operations.
• Performs administrative functions i.e. completion of vehicle log sheets and other related documentation.
• Utilises knowledge of road safety to perform duties in compliance with safety standards.
• Communicates by two-way radio.
• Relieves drainage supervisors and driver/operators as requested by the respective Superintendent, as and when required.
• Liaises with the general public with regard to the operation of the plant.
• Supervises staff assigned to working in conjunction with the plant/vehicle in terms of their performance and ensuring correct procedures are adhered to.

Essential Requirements

• An appropriate level of secondary education.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code EC1).
• Valid Professional drivers Permit (PrDP).
• 2 Years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
• 3 years relevant experience.
