A PhD in Tourism or a closely related field with research in Tourism.
At least 5 years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or 7 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
At least five (5) publications in accredited, peer-reviewed journals
Evidence of postgraduate student supervision and curriculum development.
Demonstrated engagement in entrepreneurship education or tourism enterprise initiatives.
Duties, among others, include:
Ensure that programme taught complies with required academic and other standards by compiling lecture notes, study guides, blended teaching and learning.
Supervision of postgraduate students.
Spearhead internal and externally funded research projects in the Department.
Participate in the University’s outreach community engagement programme
Teaching any three of the following modules: Travel Practice Operations, Tourism Management and Tourism Development
