    Senior People And Culture Officer - Talent Acquisition (Hybrid)

    Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Collaborate with senior management to understand workforce needs and staffing requirements. 
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with the organisation's mission and goals. 
    • Identify key recruitment channels, both traditional and digital, to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates. 
    • Analyse market trends and competitors to ensure the organisation remains competitive in the job market and is constantly making strides towards being an employer of choice. 
    • Management of the full recruitment function end to end in collaboration with the People and Culture Department.
    • Collaborate with department heads to create accurate and compelling job descriptions for open positions. 
    • Determine required qualifications, skills, and experience for each role. 
    • Ensure that job descriptions reflect the organisation's values and expectations and effectively communicate potential challenges.
    • Utilise various sourcing methods, such as job boards, social media, and networking events, to identify potential candidates. 
    • Actively seek out passive candidates and build a talent pipeline for future hiring needs. 
    • Craft engaging job advertisements to attract talent. 
    • Review resumes and applications, shortlisting candidates who meet the job requirements. 
    • Conduct initial screenings to evaluate candidates' qualifications and motivations. 
    • Coordinate and administer skills assessments and tests as needed. 
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to define evaluation criteria for interviews and compile relevant interview guides etc.
    • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers with the help of the People and Culture Administrator. 
    • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the interview process.  
    • Gather feedback from interviewers to assess candidates' suitability for the role. 
    • Facilitate decision-making discussions with hiring managers to determine the best-fit candidates. 
    • Conduct reference checks to verify candidates' background and qualifications etc. 
    • Extend offers to selected candidates, negotiating terms as needed.  
    • Collaborate with People and Culture Departmental teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires. 
    • Provide necessary documentation and guidance to new employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. 
    • Address any concerns or questions new hires may have during their onboarding. 
    • Track and analyse recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, source of hire, and candidate conversion rates. 
    • Prepare regular reports on recruitment activity and outcomes for senior management. 
    • Use data insights to identify areas for improvement and optimise the recruitment process.  
    • Develop and maintain the employer branding, showcasing its values and positive impact. 
    • Represent the organisation at industry events, job fairs, and networking functions to enhance its visibility. 
    • Engage with professional organisations and communities to build relationships and attract top talent. 
    • Stay informed about relevant labour laws and regulations in South Africa to ensure compliant recruitment practices. 
    • Promote diversity and inclusion in the recruitment process by considering candidates from various backgrounds. 
    • Implement processes that minimize bias and foster equal opportunities for all candidates. 
    • Regularly review and refine the talent acquisition process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new tools in recruitment. 
    • Seek feedback from hiring managers and candidates to identify areas for improvement. 
    • Reporting and dashboard creation depending on operational requirements. 

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
    • a Post Graduate Degree in a related field will be an advantage. 
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a specialised recruitment/ talent acquisition role with extensive experience in bulk recruitment and head hunting for niche roles. 
    • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. 
    • Strong understanding of talent acquisition best practices, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate assessment. 
    • Experience in an NGO environment is an advantage.  
    • Outstanding analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities. 
    • Excellent communication skills and a passion for people.
