An appropriate 3 year tertiary qualification (B Degree/
BSc/-Tech/Advanced Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or Electrical Engineering (light current)
Coupled with 3 years of proven experience in the Telecoms Voice Applications Environment
Code B drivers licence
Knowledge of Electronic Communications Act, ICASA regulations and OH & S Act
Key Performance Areas:
Ensuring ongoing support and maintenance of the City's VolP Network.
Performing the technical lead role for the expansion of the City's VolP network.
Compiling standard operating procedures, drafting tender specifications and management of tenders & contracts.
Management of VolP Network projects and budgets.
Engaging with VolP Network Users in the City.
Ensuring that the City's VolP Network infrastructure is managed effectively and efficiently.
Managing and motivating VolP Network staff.
Ensuring compliance with Electronics Communications Act e.g. ICASA VolP regulations.
