Accountable and responsible to provide effective and credible advice, to the Ford Manufacturing team on labour relations processes and procedures
Ensure the sound and effective practical and consistent implementation of labour relations interventions across the Silverton operation
Building and maintaining of constructive relationships between union and Manufacturing supervision and management
Advise and consult upon and facilitate & implement IR structures & procedures for the day-to-day practical aspects of an IR function
Ensure the successful and consistent management, implementation and application of disciplinary and grievance procedures and policies
Implement and maintain a comprehensive IR administration system
Maintain and update all labour related policies and procedures, ensuring the enforcement and adherence of these policies and procedures by advising and monitoring management and staff
Undertake comprehensive preparation for and representation of the company at the CCMA and remain conversant with all CCMA rules and processes.
Develop and conduct Industrial Relations related training to Ford Manufacturing management, supervision and team leaders
Facilitate the implementation of weekly meetings between management and organized labour
Facilitate the implementation of regular engagements between HR Business Partners and organized labour
Facilitate and maintain a sound working relationship with unions and union officials
Monitor, review, and suggest interventions to optimize collective agreements
Consult and advise management and employees with regard to labour legislation, policies and procedures
Monitor internal and external labour relations trends and submit relevant reports
Support and maintain sound work relationships between employees, union and employer bodies.

Qualifications
Degree in Labour Relations or Human Resources or LLB degree
Preference will be accorded to candidates with a LLB degree
5 > years demonstrated application of the required skills and related experience in a manufacturing environment
A strong background in Labour Relations is essential in a highly Unionized environment
Demonstrated experience and successful track record in representing employer at CCMA or Bargaining Council
