The Engineer will be part of a Simulation and Modelling team performing simulation studies for small and large projects. The Engineer performs simulation studies using a variety of software which includes Excel, Arena, Simio and G2.
Key Responsibilities
Support proposals and business development initiatives
Defining the study objective with the client
Gathering the information required for the study
Developing the simulation model in appropriate software
Verifying the model with the client
Conducting the simulation study
Assimilating and reporting findings to the client
Writing up the study report
Visits to client sites
Compiling and reviewing data and simulation results typically in MS Excel spreadsheets
Presentations within the project team, Hatch and to the client
Documentation
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant tertiary degree (Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology)
Good results in mathematics and statistics
3 - 5 years simulation and modelling experience
Strong analytical skills demonstrated
Experience with Arena, Simio and VBA advantageous
Ability to manage and delegate to individuals to attain quality, cost and schedule objectives.
Some background in the development of business and the pursuit of growth advantageous.
Experience with working on projects in a multi-disciplinary environment advantageous.
