Core Responsibilities:
Ensure that goods and services are procured in accordance with authorised procurement processes
Plan, organise, lead, manage, implement, control and monitor overall administrative and financial practices, ensuring compliance with the MFMA and Local Government Acts, in alignment with the overall finance strategy
Develop operational targets in support of tactical delivery plans and organisational strategic objectives in partnership with divisional leadership
Ensure that procurement of goods and services, either through quotations or through a bidding process, shall be within the threshold values as determined by the MFMA
Implement risk management, governance and compliance policy and processes to identify and manage governance and risk exposure liability
Monitor and enforce effective financial control, corporate governance and financial compliance
Deliver on service level agreements aligned with the Batho Pele principles
