    Technical Manager - AWS Marketplace

    Description

Our goals include enriching the platform to support selection that is more diverse, improving buyer and seller experience and implementing new capabilities to improve the products and offerings.     In this role, you’ll work closely with Independent Software Vendors and partners to help them launch and manage their software products on AWS Marketplace. This requires driving requirements for systems, continuously improving processes, and developing a team that can scale for the future. The ideal candidate understands complex systems and how to work across a broad set of stakeholders to drive business needs. As a leader in managing both the accounts and the operations for the AWS Marketplace global catalog, you’ll have to dive deep into the data that drives our decision making, derive important insights, present plans for key improvements, and drive consensus for action.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Lead a team of Technical Account Managers to deliver timely, accurate and professional technical assistance to all internal and external customers
    • Process and track a high volume of software product submissions and requests from a portfolio of global sellers
    • Provide a quality experience for AWS Marketplace buyers by ensuring TAM’s vet sellers’ products for policy compliance, security standards, and usability
    • Track and quantify seller operational challenges to provide requirements for automation of repetitive tasks, tooling improvements, and standard operating procedures
    • Work with engineers, PM teams, and senior leadership to improve the seller experience
    • Demonstrate excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently
    • Foster a positive team environment that motivates team members to meet and exceed team SLAs, quality standards, and goals
    • Manage the team’s operations with high attention to detail and maintain low error rates for product publishing

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience.
    • 3 to 5 years of experience leading team’s in technical or account based roles
    • Understanding of operating systems such as Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and/or Microsoft Windows Server
    • Knowledge of the software industry and cloud computing
    • Ability to act quickly when dealing with ambiguity, including troubleshooting and problem solving in loosely-defined situations
    • Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks and competing priorities from a variety of internal and external stakeholders
    • Ability to deliver results independently in a rapidly changing environment with a solid sense of ownership

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous experience leading operations for vendor management, digital content pipelines and ingestion, technical account management, product management, or system administrators
    • Experience streamlining disparate processes and systems into a cohesive workflow
    • Previous experience using creative and analytical problem-solving skills to deliver complex solutions
    • Experience in completing deep dives and data analysis on emerging issues for senior leadership
    • Knowledge of the software industry, cloud computing, and the AWS stack
    • Ability to communicate professionally at the executive level in written and verbal form
    • Ability to understand technical concepts and provide input into solution scalability
