Technician at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• National Diploma in Horticulture or equivalent Technical Certificate
• Up to 2 years relevant experience relating to Horticulture environment
• Project Management experience would be advantageous
• Computer Literacy (MS Office & SAP)
• Code B/EB Driver’s License
• Physically Fit

Note: Applicant must be able to work in all weather conditions

Key Performance Areas

• To provide operational, horticultural and project support to the
•  Head;
• Manage capital, operational, Ward Allocations, URP and other
•  projects.
• Coordinate and provide input in tenders for projects (capital & maintenance), are developed
• Performs specific administrative tasks / activities
• Collating information from inspections and contractual documentation for inclusion into management reports
• Co-ordinates the maintenance, utilization and control of all fixed and movable
• Maintaining the safety standards of all assets
• Supports business re-engineering processes
• Making recommendations for improvement to management
• Attending to complex complaints / requests / queries
• Making recommendation & Ensuring that the complaint / request is closed on SAP
