Role Purpose/Business Unit:

• The Senior Specialist: Legal Affairs role is a mid-level, generalist legal role, with a focus on drafting, vetting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements of moderate complexity, as well as providing legal advice and support across a broad range of matters, in a fast-paced telecommunications and technology environment. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist with drafting, vetting and negotiating a diverse range of commercial arrangements of moderate complexity, including in relation to procurement, licensing, sponsorship, partnerships/collaborations, POCs, infrastructure/ network/ data sharing, IP, connectivity services, submarine cables, roaming, interconnect, MVNOs, IRUs, leases, intercompany agreements, NDAs, digital agreements and other agreements relating to emerging platforms and non-traditional offerings.
• Provide support on litigation matters and on matters that require competition law assessment/ guidance/ inputs, including by information gathering, reporting, preparing/ vetting responses/ attestations/ affidavits, updating policies and ensuring compliance with the competition law compliance programme.
• Assist with drafting agreements and provide support in relation to acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, infrastructure sharing and intra-group reorganisations/ agreements.
• Prepare clear written advice and recommendations that balance legal risk and commercial objectives.
• Identify and propose practical risk mitigants and positions consistent with Group policies and business risk appetite.
• Keep more senior team members and other stakeholders updated and briefed on projects and risk management concerns on a regular basis. The level of oversight and supervision in respect of this role is expected to be light to moderate, but will vary depending on the nature of the work.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and alignment with Group governance requirements.
• Proactively liaise with, coordinate and include input, from various stakeholders across the Group and in the markets, on an as needed basis.
• Assist the legal team with collating information for reports from various stakeholders across the Group and in the markets, and finalising the reports.  
• Prepare, maintain, improve and socialise contract templates, clause templates, policies and playbooks in line with best practice and evolving Group requirements.
• Assist the legal team in promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration to leverage learnings and drive synergy benefits. 

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• LLB degree and admitted attorney.
• Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience within a leading law firm and/or an in-house legal team, preferably in the telecommunications, media and/or technology sectors.
• Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrable experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements and documents and advising on legal issues.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and to assess when to escalate matters or risks of a more complex or serious nature to more senior members of the legal team on an as needed basis.
• Good interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

• The Junior legal advisor will provide support within the Legal Affairs team by assisting in the drafting, review, and negotiation of legal documents, conducting legal research, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations across a range of commercial, corporate, and intellectual property (IP) matters within a fast-paced telecommunications environment.
• The role involves supporting senior members of the legal team with transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and protection of the company’s intellectual property assets. The incumbent will develop a broad understanding of the business, applying sound legal judgement and a solutions-oriented approach to support strategic and operational objectives.
• The role offers a strong foundation for progression within the Legal Affairs team, providing exposure to complex commercial transactions and cross-functional business collaboration. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and correspondence under the guidance of senior members of the team. 
• Build effective relationships and collaborate closely with various business teams and internal stakeholders to provide timely and pragmatic legal support.

• 0–2 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally within a telecommunications or technology-focused legal environment. 
• Commercial law, drafting and negotiation experience, with ability to provide innovative legal solutions in a fast moving industry.

• The SAP Solution Architect is responsible for designing and architecting end-to-end SAP solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business One, and SAP Cloud Migration Services for Vodacom’s enterprise and mid-market clients.
• The role’s primary purpose is to ensure that clients can modernise, migrate, and optimise their SAP landscapes through well-architected, secure, and scalable cloud-enabled solutions.
• This position focuses on cloud migration architecture and transformation enablement, providing expert guidance in moving SAP workloads from on-premise or legacy environments to public, private, or hybrid cloud infrastructures — including Vodacom Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• The architect will assess existing client environments, define target-state architectures, and develop migration roadmaps aligned with SAP best practices, RISE with SAP frameworks, and Vodacom’s cloud-first strategy.

The role requires deep hands-on expertise in:

• SAP S/4HANA (on-premise, Private Cloud, and Public Cloud editions) for enterprise ERP transformation.
• SAP Business One for agile ERP implementations in the SME and mid-market space.
• SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Integration Suite for extensions, integrations, and data orchestration during and post-migration.
• Cloud Migration Services — including infrastructure sizing, landscape design, system conversions, data migration, and performance optimization across hybrid or full-cloud environments.

The architect will also provide design oversight and advisory support during project execution to ensure that implemented solutions remain aligned with the approved architecture.
• Ultimately, the purpose of this role is to enable Vodacom’s clients to modernise their SAP environments through intelligent, cloud-ready architectures — ensuring that every migration delivers resilience, scalability, and business agility within the broader digital transformation journey.

Your responsibilities will include:
