    Project Leader

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Project management - and overseeing of multiple projects and programmes from initiation to completion and delivered on time, within budget and to prescribed quality standards.
    • Stakeholder management through effective communication with vendors, project team members and with customers.
    • ppPerformance tracking, monitoring and reporting on status of projects, programmes and budgets.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Responsibilities

    • To develop plans, develop scope for and manage all aspects of projects, including but not limited to new site build projects, site upgrade projects, site hardening projects, power upgrade projects, IPM, access upgrade projects, etc. 
    • To lead and manage vendors and project teams through effective communication, clearly assigning tasks and providing support and guidance
    • To identify potential risks, create a risk register and develop mitigation strategies to minimise project disruptions
    • To creatively solve problems, challenges and obstacles arising during projects by finding solutions and making necessary adjustments to ensure the successful delivery of projects
    • To monitor progress, ensure data integrity, prepare and present reports, including but not limited to project progress, budget tracking and control, efficiencies and improvement suggestions, etc.  

    Planning, development and coordination of projects

    • Determine and develop project scope of work
    • Develop comprehensive project plans

    Stakeholder management

    • Identify key stakeholders

    • Pro-actively identify potential project risks
    • Develop measures to minimize project disruptions

    • Ensure immediate intervention to manage each problem
    • Investigate the best solution to each problem in collaboration with other stakeholders
    • Implement the agreed solution

    Quality assurance, reporting and documents

    • Ensure projects meet business quality standards and guidelines and align with Customer requirements.
    • Keep comprehensive record of project tasks and progress on Operational Support System tool
    • Prepare and present project status reports
    • Evaluate project outcomes and identify lessons learned for future projects
    • Identify areas for improvement in processes and implement best practices

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • 3-year Degree/National Diploma e.g. BSc (Construction Management), BSc (Quantity Surveying), Project Management , BEng or similar (essential)
    • Drivers Licence Code 08 (essential)

    Senior Specialist IFRS & Governance

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Ensure compliance in terms of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as issued by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), statutory, SOX and Companies Act compliance, Group policies, monitor of internal and external control. 
    • The role will require strong IFRS technical expertise, IFRS reporting, statutory accounts preparation, strong stakeholder management skills.
    • The ideal candidate will also possess excellent analytical and operation capabilities, strong financial skills and be able to critically evaluate transactions for IFRS and statutory reporting, and has the proven ability to convey complex assessments in IFRS clearly to management and other members of the business. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    IFRS:

    • Implementation of new and amended IFRS standards and interpretations as issued by the IASB on a regular basis based on the effective date as well as the implementation date per Vodafone
    • Implementation and monitoring of all IFRS requirements as issued each quarter through the Vodafone Group Plc Financial Reporting and Governance Manual (VGIAP)
    • IFRS support/guidance to finance operations within VSA and Vodacom non-core financial teams as well as the international business where requested
    • Completion of IFRS accounting memorandums for agreements and significant transactions with review depending on materiality to management, VF Group IFRS and auditors
    • Annual financial statements per IFRS disclosure requirements with no material misstatement

    Month end reporting:

    • Address and support all IFRS accounting issues raised during the month end reporting process
    • Supervision and coordination of balance sheet and sub-ledger reconciliations and reporting thereof

    Interim and year end reporting:

    • Interim and year end statutory reporting submission, certification compliance to Vodacom Group and VF, external audit process. Applicable to multiple requirements
    • Completion of annual financial statements, review with management and audit with auditors with no material misstatements. Applicable to multiple entities
    • Ensure compliance and no material misstatements with IFRS and related disclosures for all entities

    Compliance:

    • Ensure adherence to company policy, internal controls, SOX , internal & external audit
    • SOX: completing specific sox controls relating to area accurately as per control description and per timelines
    • Internal audit: Actively monitor close out of findings, ensuring no overdue items
    • External audit: Liaison, including audit requirements and follow up. No long outstanding items or material issues not reported
    • General Ledger Reconciliations: Work with other Finance Operations functions to improve quality, peer review, reporting, accurate and completion per timeline
    • Manage, improve and develop processes and systems for accounting purposes
    • Implement and drive quality standard frameworks and ensure that high levels of quality accounting are maintained, including alignment with global best practices
    • Quarterly and bi-annual statutory submission to Stats SA 
    • Assisting with ad-hoc projects and key participant in C4 projects.

    Stakeholder management skills:

    • Attend to business partner, VF reporting & IFRS, COP and audit queries
    • Manage, improve and develop relationships with internal & external stakeholders
    • Able to run with tasks and be proactive in delivery
    • Consider the impact of solutions on other areas of Finance and the business, as well as the interdependency of units

    • CA (SA), Qualified Chartered Accountant South Africa 
    • Minimum of  5-6 years’ relevant experience of which articles of 3 years can be included, with strong IFRS technical expertise

    Portfolio Manager - Strategic Partnerships

    Role Purpose:

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • A relevant 3 year degree or tertiary qualification equivalent to at least a 3 year technical or commercial degree with marketing and/or product development relevance essential.
