    Administrative Assistant

    What will make you successful in this role?

    Secretarial duties

    • Provide secretarial support function to Santam AGRI Management including MANCO Members, Managers, Underwriters, Distribution Personnel and Team leaders on administrative and ad hoc areas of responsibility. 

    • Diary and calendar management of Santam AGRI Managers.

    • Assist Manager: Business Support Services with secretarial and administrative tasks.

    • Typing (e-mails, documents, PP, Excel)

    • Telephone/reception/switchboard

    • Schedule meetings, compile minutes, agendas and distribute (with translation when necessary). 

    • Administrative Office venue bookings – coordinate meetings

    • Venue bookings and organizing events for the Research farm

    • Administrative Office entertainment and function arrangements

    • Manage flowers as token of congratulations or condolences to staff and external people

    • Renewals of distributions of subscriptions. 

    Administrative duties

    • Update the changes of assessment procedures and policy manuals on a yearly basis.

    • Order field form books and distribute when necessary

    • Register branch codes of new Crop Brokers

    • Manage circulars and documentation

    • Supervise general assistants

    • Order staff refreshments and stationery.

    • Manage accounts and orders from external providers of refreshments, catering, stationary

    • Record keeping of all legal documents and contract registers for SBU

    • Compile monthly and Adhoc reports & presentations

    • Assist with adhoc projects, tasks and reports.

    Client duties

    • Contacting and handling telephone enquiries from all personnel

    • Travel and accommodation arrangements

    • Account processing, JDE invoices & cell phone recons and sending off to HO

    • Cell phone account claims – verify and send to HO

    • ABSA card reconciliations

    • Reimbursement of weekly claims for personnel

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Grade 12 as a minimum. Related secretarial qualification would be advantageous. 

    • Additional 3 - 5 years Insurance sector experience in an administrative or filling clerk role.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Understanding of Information Technology (Computer literacy - MS Word, Excel etc)  

    • Ability to communicate at all levels verbally and in writing (in both English and Afrikaans)

    • Knowledge and experience of AGRI processes and procedures

    • Organisational ability

    • Time-Management skills

    • Negotiation Skills

    Digital Support Consultant

    What will you do?
    This exciting opportunity is available within the Digital Support Hub at the Contact Centre in Auckland Park.

    The purpose of this position is to provide digital support to the PLCC and Intermediary environments. The role also requires the testing, coaching and optimising of new or existing systems and processes within the PLCC.

    PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
    User Acceptance Testing

    •     Plan testing and testing scenarios.
    •     Test results analysis, interpretation and feedback
    •     Test that the system responds as per business requirements. 
    •     Report and Log all issues traced while testing 
    •     Pre and Post testing of any changes or further builds/enhancements on the system.
    •     Check that usability of the system fits requirements.
    •     Entry/Exit Criteria Sign off

    Coaching

    •     Coach the system changes.
    •     Coach any user to understand and navigate new changes.
    •     Track user progress and report to the line manager.
    •     Quality assurance.
    •     Identify trends and overall business unit improvements of the various stakeholders

    Business support

    •     Stakeholder engagement.
    •     Plan coaching/training sessions in conjunction with WFM.
    •     Update the PLCC users with any changes.
    •     Ensure that the stakeholders are coping with the change.
    •     Constantly test where the change acceptance is in the PLCC.
    •     Work with training to ensure the correct training is transpiring. 
    •     Technologic implementation and support.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    •     Grade 12
    •     Proficient with MS Office (advanced)
    •     Short – term insurance industry experience ( 2 Years) 
    •     Knowledge & understanding of Santam systems (Policy Center, Avaya, CRM etc,)
    •     Previous experience in a Call Centre and/or Service Desk environment
