    Brand Manager (6 Month FTC)

    purpose


    This is a 6 month maternity cover contract.

     

    • The Mr Price Home team are looking for a creative freelance Brand Manager to assist with maternity cover in the Marketing Team on a 6 month fixed term contract. If you are a freelance Marketeer with a passion for on trend homeware, décor and design; with an all-consuming love for the Mr Price Home brand then this could be a great opportunity for you!

    Overview of role

     

    • Execute the retail merchandising, promotional marketing/ advertising plans and operational functions according to the company standards of the brand portfolio you will be accountable for.
    • Manage the delivery of campaigns across multiple retail channels
    • Unpack the strategy into short- and medium-term project plans for implementation and execution, taking responsibility for timelines, budget management, buy-in and support from internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
    • Timely execution of ALL projects within your portfolio, within budget and with objectives met.

    Requirements & desired skills / attributes

     

    • To be available immediately from March 2023
    • Grade 12 with a relevant completed Marketing qualification
    • 4 + years of experience in a similar marketing role.
    • Experience within the retail environment is preferred
    • A solid understanding of core brand and marketing principles.
    • A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word and Outlook.
    • Advanced communication (written and verbal), organizational, and problem solving skills.

    Cellular Associate Mr Price

    Purpose

    • Mr Price Money is looking for an energetic person who is passionate about retail, investigations, who is analytical and has an eye for detail.
    • The Cellular Associate is responsible for reaching sales targets by approaching customers and selling cellular products to customers in store.

    key responsibilities

    Customer Experience & Sales: 

    • Engage with prospective customers to present information and explain available products
    • Persuades potential customers to purchase a product
    • Explain products and prices, and answer questions from customers
    • Drive sales through upselling products based on customer's needs analysis and preferences.
    • Maintain updated knowledge on all product related concepts
    • Administration:  
    • Facilitate and manage the out-of-box failures (OBF) and repair policies
    • Efficiently perform department tasks including daily stock hazard counts, creating merchandise displays, remerchandising, pricing markdowns according to the planogram, transferring merchandise, inventory control, and processing transactions
    • Maintain cellular kiosk including updating display, ensuring tidiness at all times 
    • Facilitate stock receiving process and ensure all merchandise is represented on the floor     
    • Train customers on the set-up, operation, and maintenance of mobile devices and accessories      

    Education:

    • Grade12

    Environmental Sustainability Officer

    Purpose

    • Mr Price Group is looking for a highly organized, professional and confident individual to support the ESG Director and the group ESG function (environmental, social & governance, including legal, ethics and compliance).
    • This fantastic opportunity requires a person who can approach the job with enthusiasm in delivering a professional support function. It is important that this person is high on delivery.

    key responsibilities

    • Support ESG director in co-ordinating deliverables across the ESG areas.
    • Responsible for understanding and actioning internal reporting requirements and timelines.
    • Assisting in report co-ordination, writing and reviewing (i.e.. board packs, board reports, annual integrated report, SETS committee and Audit & Compliance committee) including obtaining input from other functions across Group.
    • Formulating ESG framework and dashboard, and mapping based on international benchmarks and internal targets, including tracking of progress of group targets.
    • Tracking and managing ESG projects (crafting project plan, assigning tasks, monitoring task completion and overseeing project completion).
    • Assisting with the annual strategy and budget process (co-ordinating, writing, reviewing & compiling).
    • Work with Finance to review monthly budget, engage with team to obtain updates and input, and providing feedback/commentary to Finance.
    • Engaging with Legal to obtain review, understanding and guidance on ESG legislation and regulations with emphasis on new and proposed legislation; and communicating impacts to the team and guiding changes required, including to metric measurement and reporting.
    • Researching and understanding the frameworks and rating methodologies of the primary ESG ratings agencies (international and SA) (including Sustainalytics, MSCI, ISS, CDP, Dow Jones, JSE) as amended and updated from time to time).
    • Completing rating assessments annually and as required to at least maintain but with a view to improving disclosure and positive ESG ratings in support of the eSG strategy.
    • Request, co-ordinate and interrogate to verify, inputs from various departments and functions to complete assessments/ ratings above.
    • Engaging with rating agencies and other stakeholders regarding ESG ratings and other general ESG requirements / queries.
    • Interrogating, analysing and verifying ESG data and metric measurement to formulate commentary and actions as required for quarterly and other reporting.
    • Minute taking and compiling for quarterly reporting.
    • Managing requests for information from internal and external parties.

    Education

    • Business, Commercial, Research, Sustainability/ ESG, LLB or relevant degree or qualification.

    Experience

    • 3-5 years' experience in a co-ordinating or reporting / disclosure / research & analysis role or similar. Experience and exposure to retail and ESG advantageous.

    Specific knowledge

    • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite), ability to understand and analyse metrics and scoring methodologies, corporate/report writing, organized, strong communication (written & verbal).
