    Human Capital Administrator

    Job Description

    Human Capital:

    • Assist with end-to-end recruitment, including scheduling interviews, advertising vacancies, reference checks and other recruitment duties.
    • Administration of new appointments, transfers, terminations and other employee movements.
    • Ensure all salaries and other human capital data capturing and record keeping integrity.
    • Ensure adherence of line management to human capital set deadlines for various reports.
    • Coordinate payroll and submit all payroll input to AECI Payroll.
    • Resolve payroll, medical aid and other human capital related queries.
    • Provide standard management reports on human capital.
    • Liaise with AECI payroll when necessary.
    • Support the Human Capital Business Partner with various Human Capital projects.
    • Comply with governance & compliance policies and procedures.
    • Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards.

    Training Administration:

    • Schedule legal training with external providers.
    • Co-ordinate travel, catering and accommodation for training.

    • Maintain legal training register, updating training matrix and training record keeping.
    • Co-ordinate contractor inductions, issue induction card and maintain induction records.
    • Prepare induction manuals for new employees and prepare their record files.
    • Capture training interventions for BBEE audits (Sage).

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Matric / Grade 12.
    • Diploma / Degree in Humanities will be an advantage.
    • Minimum 1 – 2 years related HC experience.

    Team Leader

    Job Description

    • Assist production superintendent as required.
    • Supervise the workforce and the production process so that volume targets are met within budgeted costs.
    • Monitor, and arrange for appropriate adjustments to key production plant parameters to ensure product integrity is maintained and quality standards met.
    • Maintain good industrial relations, discipline and the morale of process operators and ensure that all operators are fully trained in process and safety procedures to promote a positive and safe work environment.
    • Monitor and control safety systems to ensure safe working at all times.
    • Analyse and resolve process, equipment and quality problems as quickly as possible to maintain production continuity.
    • Keep production management and other supervisors informed of the status of the plant and any significant process or personal problems to avoid disruption and ensure smooth operation of the plant.
    • Prepare and publish daily production reports.
    • Ensure housekeeping is performed to the required level.
    • Ensure that all staff is trained and ready for any emergency i.e. fire and gas escape.
    • Generate work orders and safe work permits for plant maintenance and in case of plant breakdowns.
    • Work shifts as and when required.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Grade 12 (with Maths and Science) or Completed NQF4 Chemical Operations.
    • National diploma in chemical engineering will advantage
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a chemical production environment.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.

    • A thorough understanding of the Sasolburg and Waltloo production plants which includes their products, raw materials safety and engineering requirements. The major processes included manufacturing of Carbon disulphide, range of collectors, frothers, depressants and flocculants.

    • Deliver efficient, focused and cost-effective talent acquisition solutions as required to support the business without compromising results

    Technical Advisor

    Job Description

    SPRAY PROGRAMS:

    Assume responsibility for the development of spray programs incorporating in-house products for the clients which integrate agrochemical and nutritional products and adhere to MRL guidelines and label recommendations.

    Use crop programmes and technical support services to drive sales strategies in the region.

    Monitor the correct implementation of recommendations.

    Carry out regular crop inspections during season to find solutions for problems found and make recommendations for corrective action to be taken

    Perform relevant in-house product trials on specific crops to build knowledge and confidence in products.

    TRAINING:

    • Apply functional expertise to organise training workshops for Crop Advisors on in-house products per crop integrating the full in-house range with Third Party products as required.
    • Engage effectively with customers through the Turbo toolbox selling methodology.
    • Provide technical support to Crop Advisors through training and on-field analysis across all product classes.

    SALES SUPPORT:

    • Work closely with Advisory Manager to compile a sales strategy for the respective Advisory team.
    • Interact with key influencers in industry to promote in-house products and grow existing client base and act on leads for new products or programmes based on specifics of a crop or region.
    • Execute the company NuWay strategy to grow in-house nutritional products and differentiate AECI Plant Health in the market place.
    • Responsible for meeting sales budget targets as set by the company and broken down into the regions.
    • Communicate product strategies with Portfolio Specialists and Regional Managers
    • Work with Crop Associations and Exporters to offer AECI Plant Health solutions for better management of residues and to create awareness of AECI Plant Health products and services.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum educational requirement Grade 12 with post matric tertiary qualification of a B.Agric/B.Sc Agric degree.
    • Must possess AVCASA or BASOS accreditation and be prepared to work towards acquiring both accreditations within a reasonable period of time.
    • Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in the agricultural industry
    •  in agrochemicals and/or agriculture and/or nutrition.
    • Must possess good customer relationship skills.
    • Must possess technical and agrochemical knowledge.
    • Computer literate MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
    • Knowledge of .NET would be advantageous.

    Technical Qualifications Officer

    Job Description

    • Provides DetNet initiating systems testing and qualifications services.
    • Acts as Far and Near range master during experiments, trials and qualifications.
    • Act as independent Quality function observer during engineering “characterization” trials and marketing field trials.
    • Write qualification specifications, methods and reports.
    • Work under AECI Mining Explosives parameters for safety and operations in the AECI Mining danger areas.
    • Consult and work closely/under the direction of DetNet and AECI Mining Technical custodian.
    • Liaise with external Testing Houses and bodies such as Naschem, AECI Mining, Gerotek, Explo Labs and Houwteq for qualification of products/systems according to relevant international standards.
    • Investigate development product failures during qualification phases.
    • Design and conduct experiments to prove or disprove hypotheses of design failures.
    • Dissect and analyse failure samples of all development products.
    • Provide accurate and informed feedback to product designers and developers to ensure continuous improvement in design
    • Partake in relevant product/system Risk Assessments as well as process HAZOP studies for existing and new products and processes.
    • Qualification tests on product packaging.
    • Assist in product, process and system audits where requested.

    General

    • Excellent technical report writing skill is essential.
    • Conversant with ISO systems and Local and International Standards for approval of electronic initiating systems (detonators and associated control equipment).
    • Must have the ability to function both independently as well as in a matrix organization to interface with design teams, manufacturing, supply chain management, program management personnel and quality section personnel.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Degree or B-Tech qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in an electrical testing environment.
    • A qualification in Quality is an advantage.
    • Explosives Engineering Certification (Surface and Underground) is an advantage.
    • Explosive handling experience is an advantage.
    • High level of computer literacy - Proficiencies in MS Office products; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are essential.
