    RPA Developer - Parktown

    Role Objectives:

    Responsible for Improving profitability by supporting the Hollard Insure IT Strategy through analysis and software development in our Robotics and Process Automation department.

    Key Responsibilities: 

    TECHNICAL

    • Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology using prescribed tools, specifications and coding standards
    • Maintain and modify software solutions, make approved changes by amending workflows, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes
    • Develop and test software applications and enhancements (unit testing and SIT) and work with testing teams (UAT) to define test cases and obtain signoffs
    • Analyse performance of applications and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with stakeholders after obtaining necessary approval
    • Follow development and release management procedures, including documentation, CAB presentations and collaborating with operations team
    • Confer with stakeholders to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing applications.
    • Write and maintain software solution documentation including design, deployment, release management, testing and support artefacts
    • Maintain timesheets, tasks and other project management inputs. Work with PMs on feasibility, estimation, actively manage risks etc
    • Within the prescribed constraints and team methodology, able to independently complete a unit of work from analysis to delivery
    • Work closely with operations to foster a DevOps culture

    • Customer service: Maintain a high level of service to customers (internal and external) according to the service standards as set by the company.

    Required Knowledge and Experience

    • Understand and adapt to the Engineering methodologies which include the SAFE Agile Framework
    • Good communication including verbal and business writing skills

    Role Objectives:

    Underwriting Administrator - Cape Town

    Role Objectives

    • Process all admin transactions assigned, within the set standards required by the company thus contributing to the productivity of the division as set out within parameters delegated from time to time.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Technical expertise: Ensure that policy transactions (new business, endorsements, renewals, post loss, cancellations) are issued and changes recorded accurately and in a timely manner by rating and/or capturing transactions to the core business system.
    • Processing: Accurate and timely data capturing of new business renewals, endorsements, declarations and post loss adjustments. Complete transactions within delegated authority limits and within set standards as per underwriting manual and service level agreements.
    • Continuous Process Improvement: Ensure full compliance to all processes, policies and procedures and identify areas for improvement.
    • Customer service: Maintain a high level of service to customers (internal and external) according to service level agreements and within the service standards as set by the company.
    • Service to brokers: Over and above normal underwriting processing duties such as technical advice and other assistance.
    • Effective and timeous communication: Communicate in a professional manner with internal and external parties and respond to queries within 24 hours.
    • Diary: Daily diary files to be extracted and dealt with.
    • TCF: Ensure that customers are treated fairly.
    • Recordkeeping (registers, documents, e-mails etc) to be always kept up to date.
    • Variance Management: Adhere to standards set by Hollard. Provide action plans and follow up with corrective actions to all variances.
    • Quality control: Quality standards to be always adhered to.

    Required Knowledge and Experience

    Credit Controller - Durban

    Role Objectives

    Provide an efficient credit control service within the prescribed period and within the set standards 
    required by the company thus contributing to the productivity of the branch
    Enhance the image of the company through the continuous delivery of efficient and effective 
    customer service

    Key Responsibilities

    • Technical expertise: To reconcile and allocate all premiums received from intermediaries/brokers 
    • within the prescribed period. Follow up with brokers/intermediaries with constant communication 
    • through internal broker consultants/broker consultants. 
    • Customer service: Maintain a high level of service to customers (internal and external) according to 
    • service level agreements and within the service standards as set by the company
    • Service to brokers: Over and above normal credit control duties such as advice, referrals and other 
    • assistance
    • Effective and timeous communication: Communicate in a professional manner with internal and 
    • external parties and respond to queries within 24 hours
    • Credit Control and reconciliation: 90% of premiums to be collected and cleared within the prescribed 
    • period (45 days) and the balance within the next six weeks
    • Unpaid debit orders: Notify brokers within 24 hours and follow up every week. To be cleared via 
    • receipt/underwriting entry or resubmitted for collection during the following month. Exceptional 
    • cases to be referred to management
    • Collective lead policies: Liaise with broker consultants/underwriters to ensure that handling fees are 
    • debited / collected on all lead policies
    • Risk management: Underwriters to be advised of any changes affecting policies: endorsements 
    • SASRIA not issued /cancellations: lapses/change in payment terms etc
    • Check and confirm payment in respect of any policy from which a claim may arise; calculate 
    • outstanding premiums due in respect of certain claims
    • Reports: Complete credit control age analysis and update list of outstanding premiums
    • Refunds: Process refund requisitions within 48 hours
    • Journals: Raise journals to marry items and clear accounts where necessary

    Required Knowledge and Experience

    • Minimum of 3 -5 years credit control experience

    Consultant: Skills Development and Employment Equity - Parktown

    Role Objective:

    The Consultant supports the Skills, EE and Manager with reporting, data analytics and Seta/ QCTO- related duties so that leaders at Hollard are supported in ensuring that they have the right skills, at the right time so that the company can meet its business goals

    Relevant legislative reporting

    • Render support in compiling of all legislative reports, e.g. Work Place Skills Planning (WSP), annual training report (ATR), Employment Equity report, etc.
    • Prepare the Employment Equity and Skills Development audit samples for submission to the BBBEE verification agency
    • Help manager prepare and submit applications for discretionary grants

    Analytics

    • Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources (Sage, LMS, etc.)
    • Analyses data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to Employment Equity & Skills Development.
    • Designs and integrates the data in meaningful visualizations/dashboards to empower data-supported decision-making
    • Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key metrics.

    Claims Consultant

    Job Purpose

    • To ensure that all risk claims are accurately assessed by applying agreed principles which are aligned to Insurance Industry standards
    • To ensure that our customers are treated with dignity as per the purpose statement and our service is aligned to Industry best practices.
    • Managing the Hollard’s risk by ensuring that valid claims are paid and invalid claims are not paid. Ensuring the correct claims are paid to the correct parties.
    • Managing our risk by verifying the information at sales, administration and claims stage and reporting operational risks to Compliance.
    • Comply with all Acts pertaining to 
    • Participate in the Dispute review committee for Business and TCF decisions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Full and accurate assessment of all life cover, disability, retrenchment, hospital, credit life and funeral claims required in terms of life claims principles & philosophies. Ensure all requirements have been received and that systems have been updated and that the correct value has been calculated.
    • Application and interpretation of policy terms and conditions to assess claims correctly.
    • Authorisation of claims within agreed mandate
    • Verify, identify fraud and invalid claims.
    • Ensure that required documentation for  FICA  is received and verified
    • Identifying operational risk from sales , administration and claims and reporting it  to the manager.
    • Ensure that queries are resolved timeously and correctly.
    • Ensure daily targets are achieved and quality scores are above 95% each month.

    Outputs

    • Full and accurate assessment of all claims required in terms of life claims principles & philosophies.
    • Ensure all requirements have been received; Standard Operating Procedures applied and the correct value has been calculated.
    • Application and interpretation of policy terms and conditions.
    • Authorisation of valid claims within agreed mandate on line of business system.
    • Maintaining clear and consistent communication with internal & external parties regarding pending claims and requirements thereof
    • Liaising with internal investigation team on claims where further assistance is required
    • Ensuring that all line of business systems are updated and that all necessary notes have been made on the relevant systems
    • Maintaining professional telephonic and written communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
    • Ensuring that final assessed claims are timeously submitted for payment/repudiation after a decision has been entered on the claims system
    • Compilation of daily stats to Team leader
    • Maintaining turnaround times in terms of Service Level agreements and meeting team KPI’s

    Required Knowledge and Experience
