    Accountant-Bcom Honours (Contract)

    About the Job

    • Month-end prepared in SAP and data loaded into HFM.
    • Cash flow prepared in HFM and related reconciliations and disclosures.
    • Intergroup loans and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Loading of budget and forecast data on HFM, including disclosures and cash flows.
    • Monthly VAT filings and tax computations.
    • Process monthly IFRS 2, IFRS 16 & VAT journals and reconciliations.
    • Post cashbook journals.

    Finance Manager-Contract (JHB)

    DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

    • Drive value add projects and system/process enhancements
    • Provide commercial input for business cases
    • Develop efficiencies in current structure
    • Review monthly system accounting entries (Line of business interface to GL)
    • Prepare manual month end entries including bonus provisions, accrued expenses and income etc.
    • Prepare/ review balance sheet reconciliations daily
    • Review monthly reporting pack including variance analysis on year on year, actual to budget and month on month
    • Monitor suspense accounts and other KRI’s daily
    • Prepare annual budget for business unit and monitor performance of actual to budget monthly

    SKILLS/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

    Finance Power BI Developer - Cape Town


    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, coupled with exceptional technical skills in Power BI development. The Finance Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized Power BI solutions to support financial data analysis, reporting, and visualization for our organization. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their needs for financial data analysis and reporting.
    • Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize financial data, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, profitability analysis, and other key financial metrics.
    • Build data models in Power BI to integrate financial data from multiple sources such as ERP systems, spreadsheets, databases, and other data repositories.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, Power BI) will be a plus.
    • Proven experience working as a Power BI Developer with a strong focus on finance and accounting data analysis and reporting.
    • Expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, Power Pivot, Power View, and Power Map.
    • Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience in data modeling and working with relational databases.
