    Sales Specialist

    Job Description

    Under the oversight of the South Africa Energy Solutions Sales Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of business line sales. Key aspects of the role include:

    • Communicating to management significant activities in regard to new work prospects, ongoing projects, current proposals and client visits
    • Maintaining an awareness of marketing decisions, status of client proposal evaluations and acceptance and contract negotiations
    • Coordinating Business Group business planning processes, Strategic Plans, documentation for review, meetings and any other key Business Group documents or presentations

    Project Engineering Manager - Underground Mining Projects

    Job Description

    The purpose of this position is tprovide the essential Project Engineering Management processes, technical knowledge, and direction as listed.

    This role leads the engineering effort and is responsible for coordinating the individual Engineering Discipline Leads and the Project Document and Data Management (PDDM) Lead such that the most cost-effective total project solution for executing engineering work is achieved.

    Responsible for Project Engineering Management on single and/or multiple engineering, procurement, construction management (EPCM) studies from Concept tFeasibility as well as Project Execution with a specific focus on Underground Mining.

    Direct and manage the interface between Engineering and the other disciplines on the project including Process Engineering, Project Controls, Project Management, Procurement and Contracts, Construction, and the client team
    Translate global strategic initiatives intprocedures tbe implemented on projects

    • Act as a leader in applying Cost Competitive Execution techniques and develop the most cost- effective total project solution
    • Ensure that the engineering work on the project is completed on schedule, meets Fluor’s quality standards including review meetings and checking procedures, performance is within the baseline man hour and material budgets, required deliverables are produced, change management is executed in a timely manner, and Engineering Department Managers are apprised of issues related ttheir function
    • Work with Discipline Leads and Engineering Department Managers tensure that staffing levels are appropriate tachieve the engineering schedule commitments and personnel are assigned with appropriate ability
    • Develop estimates, schedules, progress reports, and key quantity tracking reports
    • Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects

    Project Manager - Underground Mining Projects

    Job Description

    The purpose of this position is to perform the essential Project Management duties and functions as listed below with the overall objective of establishing an execution framework on the project that complies with the contract and ensures the safety, quality, value, timeliness, and Fluor profitability of the completed project.

    This position performs project management responsibilities on engineering, procurement, construction management (EPCM) study and/or execution projects.
    Roles and responsibilities:

    • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) is emphasized throughout all phases of the project.
    •  Review the Fluor contract and any relevant subcontracts.
    • Collaborate in the preparation of the documents associated with the execution of all aspects of the project in accordance with contractual obligations, Fluor’s Operating System Requirements (OSR) and the relevant Operating System Implementation Plan (OSIP)
    • Prepare project baseline (as defined in the OSR) and ensure that it is fully documented, updated throughout all project phases, and communicated to the Fluor project team.
    • Deliver the project in accordance with the project execution and commercial baselines.

    Planner/Scheduler (Underground Mining)

    Job Description

    This role serves as a planner/scheduler and progress management on small, medium, and large-sized projects with a specific focus on Underground Mining.

    Implement the Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures to ensure that data are converted correctly from the original estimate to the Project Control system

    • Analyze variances in cost or schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
    • Contribute to the proposal efforts for cost or scheduling activities
    • Must be able to work in a multiuser environment – EPS system (Enterprise Portfolio System)
    • Must understand and adhere to the structured company coding requirements in producing a schedule, i.e., Capture codes, structures, resource library, ID codes – Unison coding
    • Must be able to prepare a Basis of Schedule and Plan of Plan document as per best practices
    • Must be able to do proper forecasting and flagging the team of any slippages and variances from the plan.

    • Interface with Contractors for reviewing and monitoring contractor’s schedules for integration with the Overall Project Schedule, producing early and late curves and workforce histograms
    • Participates in Project Risk Analysis exercises to highlight schedule deviations and critical path analysis and participates in recovery plan sessions
    • Analyze schedule, review delays, propose schedule recovery alternatives and presents them to internal groups as well as the Client.
    • Identify and manage schedule considerations and problems resulting from intergroup restraints and interfaces
    • Develops look ahead analysis and is responsible for regular progress reporting.
    • Implements the correct Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures ensuring compliance to Fluor’s and Client’s Project Controls structure and procedures.
    • Generating, checking, and analyzing data to ensure accuracy.
    • Responsible for overseeing and reviewing all schedule associated reporting
    • Maintains orderly records and archiving to provide audit trail data.
    • When required, participates in the development of the Project Business Plan
    • Possesses strong personal computer skills and proficiency in the use of automated cost/schedule management systems, i.e., Proficient in Primavera
