RCL FOODS is currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join the Finance team in Malelane. The role reports into the Finance Executive and the following entities form part of the portfolio: RCL Foods Sugar & Milling – Agriculture Division, Libuyile Farming Services (Pty) Ltd, Mgubho Farming Services (Pty) Ltd and Sivunosetfu (Pty) Ltd

The Financial Accountant is relied upon to provide the overall financial management, maintenance of the general ledger, reporting and financial accounting functions, cash flow management and tax compliance in relation to RCL FOODS Sugar’s Agricultural divisions and its Joint Venture partners.

Minimum Requirements:

• CA (SA) with at least 1 - 2 years post article working experience.
• Technical knowledge of IFRS and its practical application.
• Sound financial accounting experience.
• Advanced MS Excel and working experience on SAP.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Manage the overall financial management of the Agric companies, including cash-flow management, asset and stock management and cost control measures.
• Perform and active role in strategic planning, business planning and forecasting process.
• Application of financial policies and procedures and monitor adherence thereto.
• Compile annual financial statements and perform income tax computations and schedules to the ITR14 return.
• Prepare monthly management reports, review and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, journal entries and take corrective actions where necessary.
• Provide support to external and internal audit teams to maintain financial and control objectives.
• Debtors management and reporting.
• Review of biological asset fair value calculations in terms of IFRS.
• Management of lease agreements and lease accounting.
• Management and coordination of external audit teams and audit.
• Monitoring and reporting on funding limits and produce monthly dashboard reports.
• Represent Finance at Agricultural management meetings.
• Management of ad-hoc finance projects, tasks and ad-hoc requests.
• Ensure the career development of direct reports in line with company’s policies and procedures.

RCL FOODS is on the hunt for a HR Business Partner to join our Chicken Division based in KZN. The role will be responsible for the Feed, Agriculture and Breed Business Units.

The Talent Acquisition team is searching for a high impact HR professional, the ideal candidate would have managed multiple sites, had exposure to leading HR transformation initiatives and extensive IR knowledge.

The purpose of the role is to support the implementation of HR strategy in the business by ensuring that the HR delivery is fully aligned to business goals within their functions.

To utilize the talent development process and tools delivered by the Organizational Efficiency Team in order to provide and develop the diverse talent pipeline for the short term needs of the company.

To bring HR insight (including Employee and Industrial Relations) to bear on all people related issues (people, capabilities, organization, leadership and culture) and to be a “trusted advisor” to management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Human Resource Management.
• Valid Code EB drivers’ license.
• 10-15 years ER/IR experience
• Must have experience in managing and delivery of HR outputs for more than one business site
• Must have 10 years of full Operational HR experience
