    ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • Efficient operation of the plant.

    Report all risk behaviours and unsafe conditions to Foreman/Line Manager.

    • Adhere and apply standard operating procedures and work instructions

    • Assist service provider with cleaning activities on the plant.

    Instr & Control Engineer I (Base Layer of Process Control and plant support) 1 (108261)

    Short Description / Purpose of Job

    With safety and profitability in mind, a base layer process control engineer seeks to optimise and improve efficiency of the production process by analysing existing control strategies for performance and  functionality as and when these controls flag on a control loop performance monitor, or when operations raise a question, or as is found from investigations relating to incidents where root cause analyses were done.  Remediating actions to address issues found are many, from the system design to the hardware to the control strategies involved. These remediating actions are the crux of the matter for processes to perform according to requirement. Capacity in developing and implementing changes within control engineering by different means is required. This includes the ability to write a control narrative from a control map and to show that the control is achieving what is required by the process narrative.  Expertise in controller configuration, process modelling, statistical data analysis, inferential development, advanced regulatory control is required as well as some background in information technology.

    Lead Engineer Process Safety & Risk Natref (108222)

    Short Description / Purpose of Job

    The purpose of this position is to take ownership and accountability for the PSM (Process Safety Management) role in NATREF SHE, participate in the Regional Operational Hubs in SHE Process Safety strategy, interpret and implement process safety based on the PSM Elements and the SHE Excellence Approach. The evaluation of process operations and design through risk assessments to ensure minimization of accidents, incidents, and events that harm people, property, or the environment. Accountable for driving the process hazard analysis/studies, auditing, process safety information sharing and operational knowledge support to line management. Owns implementation and enablement of process safety strategy to meet SHE performance goals. Owns root cause methodology and investigations, defining process safety specifications and procedures, providing training input and assurance with regards to PSM aspects at Natref.

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Integrate the technical expertise of TOTAL into Natref with regards to systems, processes and procedures.
    • Take full ownership and accountably and drive the PHA process ad hoc risk assessments using methodologies such as HAZOP, PHR, LOPA, SIL, LOC, FEI, CEI, Fault/Event Tree, Human Factors, Inherent Safer Design, Explosion modelling, Risk Ranking, communicate findings, obtain managements' formal response to PHA recommendations.

    • Conduct audits, plant inspections to assure the effectiveness of actions taken in incident investigations, PHA, KUEs.
    • Be accountable for driving the requirements in preparation for 3rd party audits, insurance engineers’ visits by collecting information, organising, planning, tracking and follow up.
    • Gather, analyse data on PHA, MHI reports, observations, audits, incidents, and advise management on high risks.

    Formal Education

    • Bachelor of Engineering

    Min Experience

    • 7 - 10 relevant year’s including 4 years operations experience
