    Velocity Club Intern

    What value you will be adding:

    Through establishing long-term relationships, the financial consultant is the main client relationship manager for our professional client segment. They assist clients by helping them better understand where they spend their money and how to plan towards achieving their goals. In line with Momentum Velocity Club’s Financial Wellness philosophy, this role aims to create wealth for our clients by delivering an excellent client experience through continuous engagement on their financial needs and product solutions in a tangible and relevant way.  The financial consultant will be highly collaborative with Velocity Club’s experienced team of financial planners, who will be responsible for providing clients with the best-of-breed advice recommendations. This includes life insurance, risk and savings products, investment, retirement, and health.

    We are looking for someone who will act as a brand ambassador for Momentum Velocity club:

    • Build a strong brand for Velocity Club by having a strong trustworthy relationship with
    • Help people by creating a safe and non-judgmental relationship where clients feel guided and
    • Listen and connect deeply with clients and let them “feel” heard and
    • Encourage clients to sign-up for Momentum Velocity Club's subscription.
    • Encourage clients to implement the product recommendations made in their financial plans.
    • Be a client advocate towards their financial goals through establishing and guiding the client to understand their

    Requirements    

    • 3-year business-related university degree (required)
    • 3-5 years career working experience in sales / financial services environment (Required)
    • Experience in financial planning and sales environments with a proven track record in client acquisition and retention (required)
    • Knowledge of insurance, investment, risk, or health management related products (advantageous)
    • Aspire for growing towards financial advice and become advice accredited as required by the business over time

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Create and maintain Velocity Club’s client growth and engagement through continuous support and guidance!
    • Engage with stakeholders in a client centric manner, improving client growth, engagement and
    • Drive the achievement of growth and engagement targets to increase the acquisition of new engaged clients and to retain existing engaged
    • Engage with prospective clients to highlight the features and benefits of Velocity Club’s holistic but executable financial plan based on the client's financial and life
    • Using coaching skills, establish & foster productive, professional, and enabling relationships with clients to manage and enhance the value of all
    • Employ a coaching approach to facilitate the client relationship and to effectively extract the client’s life
    • Ensure the holistic Velocity Club philosophy and house view is embedded with the
    • Capture client information (financial and goals), relevant actions and sales on the systems
    • Complete all administrative requirements to ensure smooth execution of client's decisions and choices.
    • Gather sufficient and relevant information to assist the Velocity Club Advice Hub in providing clients with holistic financial planning to reach their life goals.
    • Communicate and present the financial plan prepared by the Velocity Club Advice Hub, to the

    Data Management Business Analyst (12 Months Contract/Permanent)

    Role Purpose    

    The Data Management Business Analyst will contribute to the development and implementation of robust data management processes, fostering a culture of data-driven excellence. To transform business requirements (functional & non-functional) into a set of technical software requirements that specify the software solution.

    Requirements    

    • BCom Informatics or BSC Degree.
    • Diploma in Business Analysis preferred.
    • A minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst.
    • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the investment environment.
    • 5+ years’ experience in advanced analytics (data mining, predictive modelling), and/or
    • 5+ years in data science, machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI)
    • Must have experience working in an Agile working environment.
    • SQL knowledge a must.
    • Python.
    • 3 years AWS experience.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Own business, system, and data analysis, determine business system and data requirements and identify alternatives.
    • Set up and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather, elicit, and identify business and system requirements.
    • Design and document innovative business and analytical solutions using information technology. Considering data practices and governance.
    • Translate business requirements to a level of detail appropriate for implementation using user journeys, user stories with acceptance criteria; process diagrams; data models; business rules, and mockups).
    • Develop, document, and implement data control standards and best practices for all data analysts and testers and coach these analysts and testers to ensure that these standards are upheld.
    • Advocate and adhere to data analysis and testing best practices.
    • Support data analysts and testers with analysing and testing any new data products that are required.
    • Develop, implement, and own the maintenance of templates for data analysis to be used by data analysts and testers as part of federated teams.

    Sales Manager

    Role Purpose    

    • The purpose of the role is to execute on the Momentum Insure Sales strategy
    • This will include the achievement of product sales targets and the delivery of an excellent, consistent customer experience across all products at the lowest possible cost
    • This role leads and directs the Momentum Insure BDC channel, strong leadership is required to motivate and inspire the team to achieve outstanding results
    • The Sales Manager is accountable for understanding Regional Customer base, growth opportunities and specific demands whilst ensuring effective capacity management of available resources in order to achieve higher operational efficiencies
    • To ensure that the processes within the Momentum Insure Sales Team comply with legislative and process requirements
    • Achievement of required audit scores
    • To work along with staff to enhance skills levels and create a healthy work environment. Contracting and achieving of training and development plans for BDC's. Manage transformation and employment equity

    Requirements    

    • Matric/Grade 12
    • NQF 5 as required/ equivalent qualification and or FAIS Credits (min 30 credits in short term insurance if date of first appointment is before 2010); or if date of first appointment is on or after 01/01/2010, a full recognised qualification as per the FSCA qualification list
    • FAIS Regulatory examination for Representatives (RE5) and (RE1) for Key Individual
    • If you are registered for one Class of Business (Personal or Commercial), you are required to have 12 CPD (continuous professional development) points. If you are registered for two Classes of Business (Personal plus Commercial), you are required to have 18 CPD points.
    • 5 Years' experience in Sales (Short Term Insurance)
    • 3 Years' experience in Managing staff in a short-term industry

    • Driving profitable sales volume of all Momentum Insure products
    • Achieve an excellent, consistent customer experience across channel
    • Implement sales plans, budgets and accelerated growth strategies:

    • Key individual Momentum Insure –; management oversight of the sales activities, including the performance of compliance function, specifically with respect to FAIS and the product categories for which Momentum Insure are licensed, and represent the Sales Team during compliance monitoring visits
