    Regional Portfolio Manager: Machine Vision & Identification

    Role responsibilities are:

    • To service a national customer base in the Industrial Technology Division.
    • Determination of customer requirements and deriving solution proposals in cooperation with sales.
    • Regularly visiting customers, building, and maintaining relationships with them, generation of sales leads and orders, introducing customers to our product range with product samples and demonstrations or brochures, catalogues, and electronic media, management of problems, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
    • Ensuring the company CRM is correctly and fully used.
    • Developing new & innovative business areas and creating business cases for MV&I Solutions Portfolio.
    • Research the markets for which the Regional Portfolio Manager is responsible, new, and existing.
    • Participation in regional customer projects involving MV&I Solutions.
    • Collaboration throughout the Rubicon group companies to share and co-develop joint business opportunities.
    • Ensure that supplier relationships are maintained and that sales channels are well defined.
    • Engage suppliers on sales and marketing issues.
    • Intervene in account problems, product warranty issues, and supplier interactions.
    • Set stock levels, in line with the regional growth plan, with market and catalogue requirements.

    Role requirements are:

    Experience & Qualifications

    • Qualification: BSc Engineering Degree/NQF7 level or equivalent
    • Qualification: Electrical Qualification beneficial
    • Experience: 5+ yrs of professional and industry experience in sales of technical products and systems (Machine Vision and Identification)
    • Experience: 5 yrs experience in customer relation management.

    Job Skills & Knowledge:

    • Machine Vision knowledge within the Automotive Industry, highly preferred.
    • Financial Literacy in respect of managing budgets for projects, project costing etc.
    • Quantitative and analytical skills - with a keen understanding of how numbers will affect outcomes over both the short and long term.
    • Computer literacy – highly Computer literate and comfortable with basic technical aspects of common operating systems with Microsoft Office general excellence.
    • Competent Professional business written and verbal communications skills.
    • Communicates with confidence and demonstrates strategic and technical mastery of their platform area when interacting with internal and external customers.

    National Portfolio Manager - Connectivity Solutions

    Position Overview: 

    As the National Connectivity Portfolio Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving connectivity solutions offered by Rubicon. Your primary responsibility will be to strategically promote and expand our range of automation connectors, cables, I/O Systems, power distribution, Network switches, and related products across South Africa.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Portfolio Strategy: Develop and implement robust strategies to increase the adoption and sales of Rubicon's connectivity solutions in alignment with the company's objectives.
    • Business Development: Identify and engage with key accounts within the Automotive, Mining, Warehousing and Logistics, and Food and Beverage sectors. Cultivate strong relationships and drive the adoption of Rubicon's connectivity solutions in these industries.
    • Staff Training: Conduct comprehensive training sessions for internal teams to enhance their product knowledge and technical expertise in Rubicon's connectivity solutions.
    • Market Focus: Stay abreast of industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities. Use this information to tailor strategies and address the specific needs of target sectors.
    • Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the availability of high-quality products to meet market demands.
    • Marketing Initiatives: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and sales collateral to support the sales efforts of Rubicon's connectivity solutions.
    • Customer Engagement: Act as a liaison between Rubicon and customers, understanding their requirements, providing solutions, and addressing any inquiries or concerns related to connectivity products.
    • Travel Requirements: Travel extensively across all regions in South Africa to meet with key accounts, conduct training sessions, attend industry events, and represent Rubicon at trade shows or conferences.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
    • Proven experience in industrial automation or technical sales roles, with a focus on connectivity solutions
    • Strong knowledge of Automation connectors, cables, I/O Systems, power distribution, Network switches, and related products
    • Familiarity with the Automotive, Mining, Warehousing and Logistics, and Food and Beverage industries
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Ability to strategize, plan, and execute sales initiatives independently.
    • Willingness to travel within South Africa
    • Driver's licence and own vehicle

    Head of Sales - Resale & Key Accounts

    Role responsibilities are:

    • Explore local and export market resale opportunities and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
    • Work closely with and in support of inter-departmental teams with regards to distribution operations, customer service, human resources, administration, sales, and technical support
    • Prepare forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans
    • Organize budget and allocate funds appropriately
    • Provide training, coaching, development, and motivation to division personnel
    • Explore opportunities of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities i.e. Digital Resale opportunities
    • Provide consulting to other divisions and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities, and needs

    • Build relations to improve the presence and reputation of the division and company

    Role requirements are:

    • Matric/NQF4 minimum
    • Relevant post Matric qualification highly preferred, e.g. a degree in Business Administration or another related area
    • 3-5 years' experience of working in a Managerial role or similar position
    • Experience with modern management techniques and best practices
    • Good knowledge of the energy industry’s rules and regulations(local & export)
    • Proven ability to meet sales targets and production goals
    • Strong organizational skills with a results-driven and customer-focused attitude
    • Good leadership and people management skills
    • Technical competence and experience an advantage (Renewable energy market)

    General Worker - Field Support

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist Field Technicians: Support the Lightning Field Support Team in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting lightning protection systems.

The purpose of the role is to select and purchase products locally to ensure that the business will always have adequate stock to meet its requirements.
