    C# Analyst Developer

    Who are we?

    Sanlam Group Technology is responsible for the provision of a digitally enabled technology service as a group COE, drive business and transformation and provide group-wide digital and data architecture. We operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and risk orchestrator for technology across Sanlam.

    Qualifications:

    Assistant Team Leader

    What will you do?

    • Responsible for the timely and effective response to IT user queries and problems through the receipt and logging of problems and the co-ordination of rapid and appropriate responses for higher-level problem resolution and advice on both new and established systems. Gives telephonic training on systems. Conducts trend analysis of series data to determine common occurrences and recurring issues. Determines absolute cause of problems by either recreating the issues in a test environment or reviewing system design.   Co-ordinates and ensures that adequate training is provided for users. Acts as liaison between users and information technology department on problem areas, managing client expectations. May manage the incident to completion.

    • The Assistant Team Leader supports the Service desk team leader to ensure that the team is meeting customer service level agreements and managing incident restoration.     Marketing Manager: Digital

    Role purpose:

    This role will support the development and execution of the marketing strategy for Sanlam Credit Solutions (SCS).

    • The role is responsible for scrutinising the competitor landscape and stay up to date with global trends for similar platforms.  The successful applicant must have a passion for and sound comprehension of digital business platforms, understand what drives client behaviour and how to interpret it to the benefit of the digital business.     Qualification & experience 

    •     Grade 12

        meet the qualification requirements in line with their DOFA: 

    • Individuals who joined the industry prior to 2010 must have obtained their 30 or 60 credits or alternatively obtained a full qualification as per the FSCA’s list of recognized qualifications.
    •  Individuals who joined the industry from 2010 must have obtained a full qualification (120 Credits at NQF Level 4 for Categories B1 and B2) as per the FSCA's list of recognized qualifications at the point of recruitment. 
    •     It would be advantageous for the individual to meet the following criteria but not compulsory: In order to register for the Retail Pensions Category the Manager must have obtained a full qualification (120 Credits. at NQF level 4 would be required and NQF level 5 would be advantageous Categories B1 and B2) as per the FSCA's list of recognized qualifications at the point of recruitment.

    Class of business (COB): 

    • Should the candidate have been deemed Fit and Proper for Tier 1 by 01 April 2018, the candidate is then deemed competent for Class of Business. All applicants that were still under supervision for any competency requirement pre or post 01 April 2018 will be required to have obtained Class of Business prior to appointment. If a potential candidate has not completed Class of Business they are still deemed to be under supervision and cannot be appointed as a Sales Manager.

    Knowledge and skills 

    •     At least 2 years sales experience of which at least 1 year must be within the financial services industry (Cat B1/Cat B2/Retail Pensions)
    •      A minimum of one year management experience     
    •      Where the appointment is an internal appointment, past performance must be checked to ensure that all company criteria was met

    What will you do?

    • Under direct supervision, performs assignments of actuarial-related duties such as preparing, performing and analysing actuarial research and audits. Other duties include collecting data from various databases and performing standard mathematical calculations.

     

    Position Description:

    • We offer opportunities to actuarial graduates who are looking to start their careers and qualify as actuaries. The Sanlam Actuarial Training Programme starts off with an unofficial ‘internship’ that lets you familiarise yourself with the inner workings of Sanlam by getting to know its products and systems. Once you have a good grasp of this, you will be exposed to more technical positions. We will help you develop your analytical abilities in order to further develop your actuarial skills.

     

    Your actuarial exam results combined with your on-job performance will determine how quickly you progress and are exposed to more advanced areas of this side of Sanlam’s business.
