    Payroll Specialist

    A role you will love

    • We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations in Computershare South Africa. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll, compliance with local regulations, and the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll
    • Full payroll Function - SAGE premier payroll – Must be fully experienced. (Not negotiable)
    • Calculating the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of SAGE payroll System
    • Receiving approval from upper management for payments.
    • Processing of Bi-annual EMP501 (IRP 5’s) / Tax Year Ends and Submissions of monthly EMP201
    • SARS query management, SARS E-filing, SARS U-Filing
    • UIF documentation completion (UI19) and Processing of Annual COIDA Recon, Submissions, and payments
    • SAGE Infoslips experience & SAGE SMART reporting experience.
    • Quarterly Statistics SA reporting
    • Smooth processing of Monthly 3rd parities, Reconciling and Payments.
    • Monitor changes to payroll regulations and make recommendations for policy changes as necessary / Ensure compliance with relevant South African legislations (BCEA / Labour laws)
    • Monthly Financial Reporting and Management Reporting.
    • Provide support during internal and external audits.
    • Deadline driven department.
    • Work closely with our Global People Team.

    Skills & Knowledge Required

    • Developed Verbal and/or Written Communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels.
    • High on customer (staff) service / Provide support to employees regarding payroll-related enquiries.
    • Problem Solving skills
    • High Attention to Detail

    Education and/or Experience

    • Diploma/Degree in Payroll Management/Human Resources
    • At least 5+ years combined experience ln Payroll. (Three of those years at Payroll Specialist Level)
    • Working knowledge of relevant Legislation and best practices relating to Payroll and HR
    • Proficiency in SAGE Premier payroll software and Microsoft Excel – a must.
    • Oracle knowledge will be an advantage.
    • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

    Corporate Action Officer

    • The Corporate Action Outsourcing team is responsible for the processing of all corporate action events, dividends, letters of rep and proxies for various stockbrokers within the required timeframes and according to Directive FL of the JSE rules and regulations.
    • The Corporate Action Officer requires a good understanding of work routines and procedures used to support and administer back-office stockbroking activities.     • The Corporate Action Officer role will have a direct impact on the delivery of our agreed service levels with our customers.
