    IT Business Process Analyst I

    Introduction

    • Understand technology landscape that supports Woolworths Online Business and Online Fulfilment, and lead translation of business requirements into effective IT solutions. This is a permanent position based at the Head Office in Cape Town City Centre.

    Job description

    • Provide leadership in the development of a Business Analysis approach in project execution or investigation
    • Understand project context to determine applicable BPA approach
    • Guide the development of or develop BPA Approach
    • Partner with relevant IT stakeholder to ensure delivery of specific outcomes ie business cases, Impact Assessments, Feasibility studies etc.
    • Lead the definition and review of business processes
    • Understand current business processes and define future business processes
    • Ensure documentation of future business process/es
    • Facilitate Business requirements workshops or sessions
    • Plan and execute business requirements elicitation sessions/workshops
    • Lead/Participate in solution design workshops
    • Provide input to System Requirement Specification and other Technical oriented documents
    • Contribute in the development of the relevant project management artefacts i.e. Project Initiation Document (PID), PDR etc.
    • Assist Project Managers/IT Business Managers
    • Assist testing practice in the crafting of the integration and overall testing strategy
    • Develop/Review a acceptance test criterion
    • Ensure development of test scenarios and review Test Cases
    • Coordinate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Manage and lead team of business process analyst within a project and or outside of a project

    • Review continuous BPA ways of working to extract maximum value from the practice
    • Assist Management in the review of operating model

    Minimum requirements

    • Relevant 3 year Information Technology or business-related qualification
    • Minimum of 8 years Business/Process Analysis experience, preferably across multiple disciplines/domains
    • Minimum of 5 years in team management
    • Working knowledge of relevant methodology and tools e.g. Process modelling tools, project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile etc)

    Additional Criteria

    • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and processes will be advantageous
    • Experience in implementation of large scale web and app (e-commerce) projects in the Retail sector
    • Proven track record in presenting business cases/feasibility studies/Impact assessments to executive or leadership teams
    • Proven track record in leading team in project mode or general line management experience
    • Expert knowledge in delivering typical Business Analysis Artefacts
    • Faculty Training Institute Business Analysis qualification advantageous
    • Maintains advanced knowledge of business operations and organisational metrics and trends
    • Develops retail acumen of team through knowledge sharing and upskilling.
    • Benchmarks the competition and other relevant comparison groups.
    • Leverages research on technology-related concepts, trends and best practices to provide guidance on IT roadmap.
    • Finds ways to condense large amounts of information into a useful form
    • Maintains a keen awareness of the interrelationships among various components of large-scale activities/projects
    • Allocates time and resources as required when faced with multiple demands and competing priorities
    • Applies diplomacy and tact, demonstrating respect for differing perspectives

    Store Manager

    Introduction

    Job description

    Profitability and Revenue

    • Implement and populate detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses.
    • Implement Marketing directives.
    • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.

     
    Customer Service

    • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
    • Address concerns and discover lasting solutions while upholding customer satisfaction as the priority.
    • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
    • Daily customer complaints resolution immaterial of source and resolves within 24 hours.
    • Submits weekly customer service report to Regional Manager and outcomes on Monday morning of every week.
    • Balance effective service levels with meeting required productivity benchmarks.

     
    Operations

    • Accountable to ensure equipment is working, and if not to report once it has been logged, follow up that it has been resolved.
    • Control operational costs and identify measures to reduce / eliminate waste.
    • Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products.
    • Coordinate daily Front of House and Back of House restaurant operations.
    • Check daily access & movement of stock and stock management.
    • App Execution
    • Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it.
    • Ensures nil out of stocks of product ingredients

     
    Adherence to Shopkeeping disciplines

    • All regulatory practices pertaining to compliance with health and safety regulations,
    • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
    • Regularly review product quality

     
    Minimise Shrinkage

    • CCTV spot checks (e.g. G4S dropping, stock, random security & access)
    • Identify and manage all shrinkage hotspots within the department.

     
    People management

    • Organize and supervise shifts.
    • Train new and current employees on all practices and processes.
    • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
    • Manage HR processes - staff management, including time sheets, leave planner, training schedules, rosters & transport.
    • Labour practices pertaining to employee recruitment, performance management, discipline, and work schedules

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    •  A matric certificate and relevant management experience are essential for this position.
    • Hospitality diploma or degree an advantage.
    • Minimum 3 years previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or Restaurant General Manager
    • Proven customer service experience as a manager.
    • Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge,
    • Previous experience with restaurant management software.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills
    • Acute financial management literacy

     
    ADDITIONAL CRITERIA

    • Experience in both front and back of house is essential
    • Strong track record of people management and development is essential
    • Able and flexible to work different shifts - Shift roster which may be changed to suit the needs of the operation.
    • Weekends, evenings and Public Holiday workdays and times is mandatory.
