    BodyGuard (VIP)

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12.
    • Close Protection Officer (CPO) Qualifications.
    • Computer Literate (MSWord, Excel & PowerPoint).
    • Valid Driver’s Licence.
    • Advanced driving certificate will be an added advantage.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, adaptability, assertiveness, leadership, conflict and stress management, negotiation skills, problem solving skills, office management, strong administrative skills and writing and typing skills.
    • Knowledge of VIP Protection Services.
    • Registered, licensed and competent to operate a firearm.
    • At least 3 years’ relevant experience within a VIP/Close Protection environment.

    DUTIES

    • Provide a professional, effective and accountable close VIP protection (in-transit and /or static security) service to the Council’s Executive Mayor and Speaker, including other dignitaries assessed to be at risk.
    • Drive the principal to and from identified areas outside Midvaal within the parameters of the law, Council Policy and the principles applicable to the safety of life, limb and property.
    • Render venue protection at places visited by the Executive Mayor and/or other dignitaries as per operational plans.
    • Responsible for advance contingency planning for security measures at venues, to traveling routes that are used by the Executive Mayor, and other dignitaries.
    • Responsible for vehicle maintenance, including conducting pre-start and post-start inspections, completing relevant registers and ensuring that services are maintained.
    • Perform duties outside of normal working hours (after hours or over weekends).
    • Perform general administrative functions within the office when not transporting or providing VIP services.
    • Perform any other related ad hoc tasks as requested or required by management from time to time.

    Accountant: Debt Collection_ MN 3696/24

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12. 
    • National Diploma in Finance, Accounting or Equivalent NQF level 6. 
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
    • Valid driver’s license. 
    • Basic knowledge of applicable Local Government Legislation (e.g., MSA, MFMA, and other relevant laws). 
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, proven management skills (including analytical thinking, empowerment, adaptability, leadership, conceptual thinking, presentation, conflict management, attention to detail, and negotiation skills). 
    • Project Management and Financial Management skills and experience. 
    • Knowledge of financial systems and financial reporting. -Competent in interpretation, implementation, and enforcement of relevant legislation and applicable policies. 
    • Strong background in debt collection within the context of local government. 
    • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in debt collection preferably within Local Government Authority.

    DUTIES

    • Monthly statistics by checking and updating statistics e.g. Debtor age analysis. 
    • Supervise the balancing of the legal fee vote number. 
    • Supervising and managing Debt Collection, and ensure proper adherence to relevant Legislative Frameworks, e.g. Credit Control Policy, Indigent Policy, etc. 
    • Oversee the following: Final notices for arrears. Cut off lists. Handover lists. 
    • Supervision of Indigent administration. 
    • Reporting to Councillors about arrears in their respective wards. 
    • Debit of legal fees. 
    • Compile the monthly report on outstanding balances of: Councillors’ accounts. Personnel accounts. RSA accounts. 
    • Perform any other related ad hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management from time to time.
